Jian Ghomeshi, well known, well respected radio host fired for Sexual Assault

Basically, bottom line, Jian Ghomeshi is a 47 year old creep that trolls women half his age looking for easy targets. He's a sexual deviant that has obvious sexual intimacy issues with women.
He gets away with it because he is, and has been, a CBC superstar.

Ghomeshi is a predator. Russell Williams was a predator long before he, head of the Canadian Military, acknowledged that he likes to rape women over a long period of time and then murder them. Russell Williams was put on a pedestal before his fall, as was Jian Ghomeshi. They are both predatory men that harm women.
Women should not be fooled by smooth talking men.

Jian Ghomeshi likes to punch women in the head and then force them to provide sexual favours to him.
He has been protected from prosecution because he is a Canada Broadcasting public civil servant presenting announcements from Canada CBC.
Is the union going to protect Ghomeshi? That's an important question, as it sorts out the 55 million dollar lawsuit ... and all that bull shhit.

Seeing how the CBC protected their radio asset over the last many years reminds me of US Colleges that protect their athletic assets.
It's along the lines of abandoning all social responsibility in favour of protecting the "assets".

Ghomeshi was the asset and, CBC, like a *advertiser censored*, marshalled on behind their *advertiser censored*.

What a shameful situation for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation to have been backing the lecherous 47 year old creep that was beating women while ... apparently ... the CBC was ... what ... asleep? Where they retarded? Who the heck is in charge of CBC Human Resources today, and who was in charge when Ghomeshi was beating up women? Where are those CBC employees today?
I agree on all counts, except for your use of the word "*advertiser censored*". Find another word.

Ghomeshi drops $55m Lawsuit

Former Q host Jian Ghomeshi has withdrawn his $55 million lawsuit against the CBC, says Chuck Thompson, spokesman for the national broadcaster.

“The parties have reached a settlement; the lawsuit has been withdrawn but it still needs to be formalized through a court order,” Thompson told the Star Tuesday.

The deal was reached last Friday.

According to CBC, the lawsuit was dismissed with “costs.” Thompson did not say how much costs or which side paid costs.

The suit was launched by Ghomeshi the day after he was terminated by the CBC.

Ghomeshi must pay $18,000 in legal costs to the CBC, Thompson said, related to the terms of the settlement. Earlier CBC had asked for the lawsuit to be dismissed.

Jian Ghomeshi charged with Four Counts of Sexual Assault

Former CBC radio host Jian Ghomeshi has been charged with four counts of sexual assault and faces a fifth charge for overcome resistance by choking.

Ghomeshi, 47, surrendered to police Wednesday morning and is scheduled to appear in court this afternoon.

Toronto police announced the charges Wednesday morning.

Section 246 of the Canadian Criminal Code is for “Overcoming resistance to commission of offence,” which says that it is a crime “to enable or assist himself or another person to commit an indictable offence” by “attempts, by any means, to choke, suffocate or strangle another person” and make them “unconscious or incapable of resistance.”

On Tuesday, Ghomeshi withdrew his $55-million lawsuit against the CBC. He has to pay $18,000 to his former employer for their legal costs. Legal experts said that Ghomeshi’s lawsuit was frivolous and had no chance of success.

The former host of “Q” was fired by the CBC in late October just prior to the Toronto Star going public with allegations of violent sexual assaults. Ghomeshi, 47, said in a rambling Facebook post prior to the initial allegations that he engages in “rough sex” but only with consenting parties.

He has hired prominent criminal defence attorney Marie Henein to represent him. On October 30, Ghomeshi said in a second Facebook post that he intended to “meet these allegations directly.” He has not been heard from since.

did his lawyer say "Not Guilty"? Did anyone just watch her brief statement?

On another note he withdrew the lawsuit and chose this route? Considering his extreme narcissism, is this part of his end game of his sexualized humiliation of his victims? In a lawsuit the details are much more private and would be more about his dismissal from the CBC, not about the details of his sexual practice. His lawyer is also of the no punches held, his victims are going to be brought far lower than he brought them, and I think he knows and likes this imo,,, after reviewing his exit from the elevator and a pursed smile (his lawyers assistant liked the attention too considering her beaming grin),, they actually had the option of going out the backway.
