I've been meaning to touch on the topic of the Fairfax victim for a while now. I agree with most of you that there is very little incentive for her to testify or aid in the investigation, but I still think there is a chance she feels she needs to for closure. Were any of you following the Brianna Denison case against James Biela? One of his victims was a foreign exchange student from China. He did not kill her but brutally assaulted and raped her. She flew back here from China to testify in court because she felt it was "the moral and ethical thing to do". Now, she didn't have to. They already had DNA evidence on Brianna's body which was left in a field under a Christmas tree, naked. And, they already had testimony for a third female college student, who he raped in the parking garage of the university. But she did, and he was found guilty on all counts.
