The assault was on the record of JLM, Jr. who attempted to commit grand larceny (steal more than $200.)at the same time. It was not listed as a sexual assault.

Amherst, Bedford and Campbell county are all adjacent to Lynchburg where JLM went to school at Liberty U.
Anyone care to check those counties during his time there?

Im not defending JLM by any means but I just wanted to point out that indecent exposure could be as simple as urinating in public.Given the public drunkeness charge that seems the most likely explanation IMO.
Little off topic but along lines of the sexually assault at Liberty. If the victim went to hospital it was very likely a rape kit was used even several years ago. Victims did not have to press charges so most of the rape kits used prior to 2005 (I think) didn't get DNA testing. The link here shows a company that tested hundreds of back logged rape kits in Virginia.
I wonder JM victim had a rape kit done? (I would bet $$ it was done and may be sitting in a lab somewhere). This would be a good time for her to come forward and press charges!!!!!

It is strange because he has had several friends, including female , that talk about how wonderful he is.
In high school, he had to be really popular being a co captain of the FB team and the state wrestling champ. He looks good in his high school,pic so I imagine he had a lot of girls interested in him.
I think he had his glory days and now he is just a face in the crowd.
So he does all kinds of weird things to get attention. Maybe they worked when he was popular and younger. Maybe him paying attention to females in the past was all he needed for them to swoon all over him.
He wants that attention. He craves it.
ONE THING WE DO KNOW - Jesse Lee Matthew did not escort Hannah Elizabeth Graham safely home that night or early morning.
WE DO KNOW - that substantial forensic evidence caused a Judge or Judges to grant two or more warrants for search and for arrest for abduction with intent to defile.
I might add, we further know he fled the state knowing he was a fugitive, wanted on two felony warrants. We also know he gave false information to the police in Texas.
We further know, he did the above after speaking with an attorney.

Has anything been said in regards to any head injuries JM may have sustained during his football and/or wrestling days? If he was indeed popular and well liked by high school/college mates and then sustained a concussion or another head injury it could explain his behavior. It's in no way an excuse, but it may shine some light onto the whole thing. IDK, maybe I'm grasping at straws.
It didn't happen off campus but rather behind the Vines Center (which is on campus).
Team roster for the Virginia Silverbacks (I think from 2012 but the team's website is not up-to-date). JM is listed as #55 on the team.

You would think so - that's why I can't understand the wide ranging search , wouldn't they have the info on his pings by now,
so they zone in on the areas ?
Apparently, once you hit the rural areas the towers are farther apart, meaning the pings are also farther apart. They may know he traveled this 29 S route that night. They just can't pinpoint any one location within yards, only miles.
Can anyone shed light on JM's recent dating history. A decent looking, athletic, employed man aged 32 years old must have some history. Engament, marriage, divorce, live-in girlfriend, steady girlfriend? Has JM been perpetually single throughout his twenties and thirties? Has he been recently dumped by someone he loved? It seems odd that a man of faith, who appears to have a respectable job, and volunteers as a football coach by day would then spend his nights prowling bars for teens and younger women.

While I realize it has not been proven that JLM is a serial rapist, it might be interesting to look at the psychological profiles of the four types of serial rapists to understand what we are and are not looking for in regard to behavior patterns and personal history:

If JLM played in the Mason Dixon Football League, his Silverback team would have traveled to NoVa, Richmond, Lynchburg. . . . I wonder what years he played in this league.

Scary to speculate about a man who has not yet been tried and when the evidence is not yet public. I don't feel good doing it, but reported observations make him look guilty as sin. The chances of Hannah Graham running into another potential practiced predator at 1:30 at night after she walked away from Tempo, not good. The chances of Hannah Graham's IPhone going dead, not off, but battery out no ping dead, by her own hand, at that point, when she could barely stand, not good. The chances of others conspiring with JM, as he seems to have trouble maintaining very trusting relationships, besides family, not good. His friendships, at best could be termed casual from all the reports. Hannah Graham was not out of it enough at first to be convinced to go with him. He needed her guard down some more, so the drink and whatever may have been in it, however he schmoozed her, was deliberate, planned, based on where he stood with her at that point. Why did he take the risk of being seen with her? He'd been shot down that night, then humiliated while smoking outside, he maybe had something to prove to himself that put his guard down on risk which may have tied into the high from being part a winning football game again, old patterns, instinctive, biochemical even. As Coy Barefoot, so ably and fortunate for the concerned public, reports about his groping behavior, JM likes to establish control over bodies. He chose to work in a hospital and a nursing home, where vulnerable bodies abound. A dynamic that may draw him, fundamentally (foot fetish). So when Hannah Graham, completely vulnerable at last, completely dependent on him, was essentially carried off by him, where would he go to stash his catch for his needs? A man who on some level is so out of touch with reality ego wise, that cutting his dreads, disguising himself, damaging that arrogant self-image, he cannot will himself to do. He lives in glorious place in his own head probably, his conquests stashed in the lands around him as he goes about his inglorious life. Hannah Graham was his first detected mistake, but he was too arrogant to run right away because reality still clashed with that out-sized ego and the need to keep that tie with family, maybe.
