Just for those curious:

In real abusive relationships they start out as much a fairytale. The abuser often appears as everything the victim has always wanted. The abuser is affable, charming, and adores the victim. They come on very strong, very fast - their life was worthless, empty before meeting the victim. Until they have the victim in a situation where it is much more difficult to leave (married, pregnant, co-habitating, lack of resources, isolating the victim, financially dependent, etc.) they tend to keep up with an indulgent nurturing of the relationship.

I've said it before but it bears repeating...if the nature of domestic violence began as Jodi has described it no one would ever live in an abusive relationship again. The humiliation, confusion, feelings of worthlessness, self-degradation, etc. she is testifying to happen after months and years of being subjected to constant psychological abuse. JMO

Surely the jury must be as frustrated as we are on here with this crap. Least we can get up and get a beer, stretch our legs, they are stuck there looking and listening to her drone on day after day. After too many days of this, and Juan gets up, this will all be irrelevant. I find it absolutely absurd that no one is giving any feed back to them about how they think the defense is going. Everyone is bored stupid, frustrated and does not believe her lies.

I noticed that every time she mentions that they had a fight.....they never say what the fight was about....just the sex afterwards.....

They also never talk about whether they were physical or verbal fights. I'd be willing to bet that Juan will want to know! :gavel:

I do enjoy the fact that Martinez is objecting more today and really making Nurmi, work to weave his tails. Also, the fact that even Jodi isn't going along with his obsession about sex and abuse as much as he would like her to.

STD's can be transmitted through anal sex.

Maybe I didn't make my point well. I doubt there was anal, vaginal or him giving her oral sex. Because he would have been afraid of STD's and pregnancy. (And the thought of oral probably disgusted him if he hadn't had a lot of experience) IMO

I suggested the only sex was her giving him blow jobs. And yes one could get some STD from that, but highly unlikely and depending on how much sex-ed he had, he might not have known that.

It wasn't a discussion on STD's, it was a question about has anyone heard her mention condoms and my conclusion was that if she hasn't mentioned condom use, then I bet the only sex was her giving him oral.

1. Jodi entered into some kind of monetary agreement with Travis to clean his house and provide sexual favors upon demand. She would meet him in cars to give him oral sex and he came on her face. He threw candy at her.

2. The only abuse that was a physical type abuse was that one time Travis grabbed her wrist. She may have been throwing herself at Abe at the convention. Travis wanted to talk to her, and grabbed her wrist tightly.

:seeya:even if all of it was true, he controlled her, treated her like dirt and used her for sex,and had her dress up like a little boy and then a french maid i don't see any evidence that he did anything to cause her to fear for her life and if he ever did, i don't think she would have been in a panic to borrow money from one guy and gas cans from another to rent a car and drive 1,000miles to see him, especially since she had a new boyfriend. i'm anxious for this part, why she wanted to go to see him

I don't know how old the brother is but he looks early high school to me. I wonder if he wanted to be in court to support her and if so did his parents talk with him about how upsetting it might be. Did her attorneys let the family know that today and these next few days are going to be especially tough? Was it his decision and was he given support and information to make the best choice for him? I would not want my young relative to attend with this testimony.


As for her father, I don't know what his deal is in terms of his history with JA but with his illness he's certainly more vulnerable. I wouldn't want my father there, even to support me, as I'd be too concerned for him that he would have a heart attack or couldn't handle the stress.


Oh well, more things JA will never take credit for, destruction of her own family.

I think by having them there, all of a sudden, she is saying to the jury and th rest of the world "See, I must be telling the truth coz why else would be saying these things in fron of my Mom, Dad and little bro".
