New here and here is my theory. First I’m a guy and shower every morning, and most of the time my eyes are closed. My thoughts are just after the photo at 5:29.20 TA knew that JA was present, invited or uninvited, and turned to finish his showers. JA puts down the camera and picks up the knife. TA turns and it happens, knife to the chest, two-three times. TA comes out of the shower, hands up (defense wounds) and makes his way to the sink. Now JA is stabbing him in the back. He still tries to get away and makes it to the bathroom door and falls to the ground. Next is the neck wound. JA is left handed and the throat is cut right to left. The head moves right to left leaving the right side of the head exposed. TA is making sounds and the last is the gunshot to the right side of the head above the right eye. It’s over, TA has died of his wounds.

Exactly! there is simply not much room and she would be up close to him, but dropping the camera? it would just go plop, they are heavy, they don't bounce or roll! She did not drop it, and if she did it was because she fumbled around with a camera a knife and a gun!

Besides there being no room there is no time-camera drop,yelling,body slamming,wind knocked out,closet dash,gun grab,face off,gunshot- all in 2 minutes? No way

Also, in the video of Detective Melendez' testimony about the shower photos, he was asked if the photo at 5:32:16 (Exhibit 162, the photo where she is dragging his body and her foot and pant leg is visible) was right side up or upside down in the camera. He replied, "Upside down." [Someone correct me if I am mistaken, but she would have been bending over? Did she have the camera on a strap around her neck or what? And is it just a coincidence that all photos in that series were even-numbered seconds, no odd seconds? Is that just the way the camera works?]

Asked if he had transcribed all the text messages, he said he didn't because there were too many. He said if he did nothing else his entire shift, it would take him EIGHT MONTHS to photograph and transcribe them. He acknowledged that software has since become available to shorten the task.

IIRC there were approx 85,000 texts!
Yes, Jodi had to testify about Travis being on the computer shortly before she convinced him to do the Shower Pics. Said she didn't know what he was doing on the computer...I bet she went down after killing him and hit backspace! :banghead:

yes, she needed the money to go there. he said she did pay him back. i'll see if i can find the interview he gave on one or more of the hln shows. he also said she always sat by him in the bar and she never talked about her family, hobbies or anything personal. he said she had 1000's of pictures and she would show him but he wasn't interested. he said she never came on to him since he made it plain he was in a relationship or something along those lines.

I've seen all the texts. I just need to know which parts of which ones have been entered into evidence and where to find that testimony. Seriously bummed that with this slow iPad I have searched got 90 minutes and I can't find confirmation. I'm starting to get pissed and throw this slow sucker out the window.

I think the roomate also remembered doing laundry after the 4th too (which he obviously didn't), so I guess his memory was a little shaky.

Roommate could have done laundry in the morning before work. Especially "guy" laundry, which prob consists of a pair of jeans, shirt, undies, socks LOL..

If he takes much longer he is really taking a risk with that jury. If she lies one more time on the stand or gives one more confabulated explanation it could work against her. The longer he has her up there for re-direct I think the worse it will be for her

This whole past week I've been trying to figure out what Nurmi would use to requestion her. I think he wants to stay away from the salon, the remote and maybe even MM. He knows where Juan is going. How much damage control can he do without it hurting her case in the rebuttal???? Should be interesting.

We really do not see the abuse and whatever she suspected Travis of doing in front of his computer screen has nothing to do with why she is claiming self defense. If she has to rely on MM to back up her excuse it's a poor one because MM has no proof what she was saying is true. Only Jodi has an incentive to lie. jmo

Does anyone think there could be defense witnesses coming up that will lie for Jodi?

She doesn't seem to be too popular these days (or maybe I'm simply looking through WS colored glasses) . All I know of on the defense side are two expert witnesses, one who's specialty is with PTSD, I believe, and the other a Domestic Violence expert.

I can't wait for JM's cross with LaViolette - you gotta know he's going to ask her about her Snow White theory... or maybe not. He's not as sophomoric as I seem to be today. I'm looking forward to it, anyway...

Does she have any friends? She basically absorbed Travis' friends (and faith, and home, and social group, etc.). I've never heard of any recent friends at all. Just the one that knew her in high school and hasn't seen or spoken to JA in almost 15 years (Tina Ross) - who the TH circuit labeled as a "close friend"... (?)

She's stayed in touch with boyfriends, apparently, but I think anyone the DT calls to testify would likely have to be subpoenaed/required to be a witness on her behalf.

But I don't know... maybe her mother - grandfather - a family member might take the stand... maybe her old HS art teacher...
I think a former cellie/inmate was on their list - but I never heard anything official.

The State has an DV/abuse specialist lined up, and there are rumors about Matt McCartney but we probably won't know about him until we see him walk into the courtroom - IF he is called.

I don't see anyone lying for her, I really don't. Especially if they've been watching the cross-examination over the last few days...

I am in the process of working with a Client that needs an order of protection against someone. My client refuses.

This is a hard thing to talk someone into. It might be needed, but so many are afraid this will further escalate the situation.

I understand that but then do nothing and the person sits there in danger? Its a hard spot to be in.

So the Plan B is arm yourself. Get a gun, register it, learn how to use it and take alternate safety precautions. And look over your shoulder a lot.

Her story is she was showing pix to Travis, and they were deleting them together - this would make her VERY close to the shower. How did the camera bounce around that wall jutting out between the shower and tub?

And was Travis supposed to be looking at the photos which would end up being deleted while he was in the shower?

If I understand it correctly, that would be a yes?

In that case, it's pretty tough to see through glass shower doors with water running down them or water drops hanging. Mine are glass and I can't clearly see a thing through them when they're wet. You would sorta need to open the door to be able to tell anything about the photos...and if you opened that full length shower door with such a tiny shower enclosure, I believe water would have gone everywhere. Her story just doesn't make any sense to me.
