Arkansas law does not allow it.

she would have to say they live in separate households.
With their “fame” it wouldn’t take long for people to out him if he was living in the home
Thanks for looking into that.

All of makes me mad, including the complete disregard of the MESS he is making for his family to deal with just to continue their lives, whether I agree with how they live or not. They are affected beyond the arrest and possible imprisonment.

p.s. FWIW, I support homeschooling - not bashing it at all.

I hope Josh is not allowed to live on the property with the family, they could easily just put up another shed, and call it his "domocile".

That is how so many people manage public assistance fraud. They say they live in a "separate" household.

Maybe they'd build an outhouse for Josh to live in...

According to court documents obtained by Radar, Duggar hired former federal prosecutor, Justin Gelfand. The Missouri-based lawyer filed a notice in Duggar's criminal case informing the court he would be representing the reality star against the child *advertiser censored* charges.
...
Gelfand, who works at the law firm Margulis Gelfand, touts his professional accomplishments on his website. The attorney says he won a complete acquittal in a Missouri sex crimes jury trial, was able to win an acquittal of "all of the most serious counts" for a defendant accused of sex trafficking, and "persuaded Missouri prosecutors not to prosecute a man accused of a sex crime against a child."
Josh Duggar Hires Lawyer Known For Fighting High-Profile Sex Crimes Cases, Formerly Worked As A Federal Prosecutor

I know it's his job but I can't help but think bad thoughts about a lawyer who brags about getting a client off charges of sex crimes against a child. I guess he's a perfect match to defend Josh. MOO.

I can’t find the video at the moment but after it was revealed that JD had touched his sisters inappropriately, 2 of the girls gave an interview where they minimized the seriousness of his actions. I have a lot I could say about that but I’ll leave it at that.

About minute 30 here:

But understand that the culture they’re a part of blames the victims and compels forgiveness for patriarchs or budding patriarchs, who turn back to God. So they were grappling with a ton of unwarranted shame.

That won’t work here. He won’t be able to live on their property. But the Duggars own tons of properties. It will be easy to house him elsewhere if they can find a childless person to reside with him.

I’ll add that this compelled forgiveness is seen in other insular cultures, often to the great detriment of the victims. The Amish and Hasidic Jews are good examples if anyone is interested in further research. There was a long piece maybe 5-7 years ago on a certain Amish sect (I can’t recall which one - may have been a group in South America?) where the punishment for not forgiving exceeded the punishment for rape. Very interesting reading, especially with respect to community needs vs individual needs.

So crazy that a family known for all their children needs to find housing without children for a family member.

And by crazy, I guess I mean criminal.

Bingo. This is classic in religious patriarchies.

In her new book, The Hope We Hold, Jinger Duggaropened up about what it was like for her family to cope with brother Josh Duggar‘s past child molestation scandal in the public eye…

My brain hadn’t quite caught up to the reality of what had happened in a few short hours,” she wrote in her book, out Tuesday, May 4, and cowritten by husband Jeremy Vuolo. “Earlier that day, Dad had gathered my siblings and me to tell us that the worst trial in our family history, a trial we had long since dealt with and made our peace with, was now public knowledge.”

Well we know, IMO, who is paying for the defense. I don’t believe JD has been working from what I read here, so I would say a good chance his father is paying from the monies All the children made for the family.

Since Jim Bob Duggar owns other properties, (not sure if his wife is on any of the deeds), then Josh probably could stay at one of them. As for a third party having to babysit Josh, is that a 24/7 job, or is the sitter allowed to have an outside job?
I would think no computers, cell phones would be allowed in the place Josh would be staying. Land line phone only.

I would assume, the sitter would be one of the unmarried brothers. Whether the unmarried brothers wanted to babysit Josh or not, IMO, I believe that they will be forced to do it….even if they said no they did not want to do it. That’s sad….they probably little choice in the matter.

it would be better for Josh to go to a place for people waiting for their court date, if the state has any places like that…better yet, I rather see him wait in a cell. Safer for everyone

When this goes to trial I think more info will be released. It will not be pleasant for the family. I am glad the older girls, now young women and mothers, have found decent young men who are willing to protect them…keeping them away from the accused.

jmoo on all the above

I feel bad for whichever brother would end up babysitting him. There's only 2 or 3 unmarried, 18+ brothers who would be able to do that. The rest of the adult brothers are married and most have kids.

Joseph and Kendra live on or very near to the main Duggar property as well. They have 3 very young kids, so presumably Josh would (GOD WILLING) not be allowed anywhere near them.

I think all the older brothers will probably be forced to watch Josh at some point even if they don't live with him. It sucks for them and, while I'm not a fan of their beliefs they deserve to not spend time around their pedophile brother and they would probably much rather spend time with their wives and kids.

Maybe those this attorney represented were innocent. Not everyone charged, even for sex crimes, is guilty. JMO

I am really hopeful that he gets the STRICTEST possible sentence and will not be allowed to bail out. If he is allowed to bail out, Jim Bob will ABSOLUTELY do it. Jim Bob and Michelle have spent almost 20 years covering up for Josh's predatory actions, and I cannot emphasize enough, Jim Bob has big real estate money. That is where the Duggar $ comes from. They will all be fine when Counting On inevitably gets cancelled. I am just worried that he will manage to get out. STRICTEST SENTENCE POSSIBLE!

It's hard for me to understand parents who put their lives on TV or the internet. That is not a protective way to raise children. I guess they feel a mission, but it's not necessary to put your kids on display. It's simply not necessary so...why do it? Why bring that pressure into your home life?

Not expecting answers. I'm just marveling at the damage they did, knowingly and repeatedly.
