Interesting. Unless they have managed to locate these items they were talking about, it doesn't sound like they have much direct evidence implicating him. What about this Eva person? Did she testify directly or was it only her sister? If so then that would be hearsay. While they could get a search warrant with that, surely it would not be admissable in trial. It seems odd that the sister would be testifying and not Eva herself. What does she have to say about this?

If sexual assault took place in the vehicle, presumably that is where she would have been subdued, so why no evidence of that (the blood for example). If the blood originated from events outside the vehicle afterwards, then there should be some sign of it in or on the vehicle as well. All of this happened in one and a half hours, that does not seem to be enough time to have fetched her, done the deed and disposed of the body without leaving more than a few traces in the vehicle. The sister claimed that he had come home stinking of gasoline. If so, there should have been some residue of that in the vehicle. Was there? what about his shoes? Bleach would not have destroyed all signs of blood, there would be something left (not to mention bleach itself).

New Motion Today: 10 day Jury March 26th, 2012 @9am

see below

Wonder if there is any truth to a comment made by a Poster on NG's blog. I will find it and post it.

SHE SAID ITEMS OF ALICIA'S CLOTHING WERE FOUND AT THE "AUTOZONE" . I googled this place and it is not far from Love's.

NG link, Poster's name: Darlene, way down..........

Google Map Autozone & Love's

I have brought this old post forward as it has map details of 'Love's ,Autozone . I am now wondering if there is some truth to the possibility that maybe Alicia's body was left at 'Autozone' while AL purchased the Gas @ Love's @ 12:10 am(receipt time) He was at Love's for about 1/2 hr. Then went to Venture to burn her remains?! I see the major issue with the time is per EB tesimony that AL returned home @ 12:35 am.

Motions hearing date set for Great Bend man charged with Capital Murder

GREAT BEND – While more motions have been filed in the capital murder case against a 37-year-old Great Bend man, a tentative date for the next hearing has been set by Barton County District Judge Hannelore Kitts. She has set the hearing for February 8, 2012.

I think it's just rumor at this point cathdawg. The woman says her clothing was found there. LE has never brought the Autozone into the media that I can remember...and why would he want to bring her into town where he could be seen with her body vs leaving her behind a hill of gravel at the asphalt plant? As far a EB...I don't believe a word coming out of her mouth. JMO

I'm sorry, I'm coming in after a long hiatus. Wasn't AD's shoe found at the asphalt or gravel place where her body was found? Just thinking that if her shoes were up there, it's likely the rest of her clothes were up there also.

Survey: Most in Barton County already believe Longoria guilty of killing 14-year-old girl

GREAT BEND — Three out of four people surveyed in Barton County believe Adam Longoria is guilty of killing a 14-year-old girl

The survey, conducted through Pittsburg State University, is evidence Longoria cannot get a fair trial here, his defense argued Wednesday morning.
“The only way to ensure a fair trial is to move the case to another county, where they are not as involved and have not made up their minds,” public defender Jeff Wicks argued.
“Just exactly where do you want it to go?” prosecutor Kevin O’Connor argued.

Kansas case law holds high standards for moving a trial from the county where a crime is charged. Other cases, with higher survey results, have not been moved and convictions upheld on appeal. O’Connor quoted one ruling that said the defense would have to prove a fair trial “impossible” for a judge to have to order the trial moved. The Kansas Supreme Court has a history of not interfering with trial judges’ decisions on where to locate the trial, O’Connor pointed out.
“The evidence does not rise to any more than mere speculation,” O’Connor said.

Barton County District Judge Hannelore Kitts said she would rule on the motion Monday.
The motion was one of dozens being argued Wednesday in Longoria’s case, which is set for trial March 26. Most involved requests by the defense for the judge to issue orders on points of legal procedure during trial. On the majority of them, Kitts either denied the requests or ruled they were unnecessary because they were covered by existing courthouse policies

"He began to woo Alicia by fawning over her and providing her with mixed alcohol drinks. He wanted Alicia to be `his girl,'" prosecutors wrote in one filing. "When another male took her home at the end of the party, the defendant became upset, later accusing this individual of blocking his attempts to have sex with Alicia."

Longoria and the girl began texting the day after that party, exchanging 55 messages on July 18, 2010. Longoria called Alicia "miss shy" and "hot stuff" and asked her to send him a picture, which she did.

Prosecutors say Longoria attempted unsuccessfully on four other occasions to get Alicia in the car with him.

(he is longoria).

thanks ksnurse- do you know if they will have cameras in courtroom? TIA

Sorry I didn't get back here until now. Yes, they are allowing media. I'd imagine to see the major stations broadcasting, which will be KAKE, KSN & KWCH. I will be off work Thurs & Fri, so if the trial starts those days I will post what I can.

Here is a news article from Sunday about how Adam Longoria wants $$$ after the trial for the "first interview". :banghead:
