FWIW, I have been involved with adults in abuse situations. They never think that the abuse that occurred was ever that serious, and just another misunderstanding- and this is on both ends. Even though the occurrence turned physical, both parties always turn back to one another because they are used to this type of occurrence, and they only have each other to turn to. They have exhausted all family support from going back and forth too many times. The outsiders know too much, and then they hide and pretend everything is is normal until the next serious episode. Its a horrible cycle for the individual/individuals involved, and their loved ones.
This case with Lucas follows the same pattern-get rid of everyone around us that is trying to ruin our family. Take everyone out that knew anything, and constantly try to renew the family appearance with a new sub-set of people. When drugs are involved, they never renew the sub-set totally. There is someone out there that knows these individuals very well. Im hoping this person has been interviewed. Most likely, this is the type of person that sees this crap regularly, and wont get involved unless arrested by means of phone records or some other type of data. MOO
