id like to know where lucas was on the 14th and is this related to what happened on the 16th?? not necessarily premeditated (im open to that option but its low on my list) but was it somehow the catalyst for what happened on the 16th. like did he get sicker on the 14th bc he wasnt resting at home in bed? have another injury that started to set in serious damage that occurred on Friday (seems possible EG and JH fought on Wed or Thurs if tensions were still high about her boys and weve learned she takes this out on Lucas).

or are the 14th and 16th isolated days of EGs poor parenting?

I had the impression that EG inflicted visible injuries to Lucas on the 14th and when JH face-timed with Lucas on the 15th, she deflected the blame onto JO by saying Lucas was with his mom. This would also explain why EG didn’t take Lucas to Olive Garden. She didn’t want him seen.

JMO

I still just can’t shake the lie about JO having him on Valentine’s Day. I realllly, reallly think we need to find out common areas where JO met up with EG and/or JH for drop offs and pickups. I just can’t shake the feeling that he may be very close to one of those areas. JMO

Most financial institutions no longer do the 2 signature thing... banking is far too automated to enforce it. I would expect an attorney could be appointed to manage the account though. I'm very familiar with the banking side of it, I'm not familiar with how you get the ball rolling to get donations coming in to up the $$ amount. But local businesses may be a great start. I wonder if any of our locals have and Chamber of Commerce connections? Or what about a local Crime Stoppers organization? They often throw in $1k - $2k for prominent or unsolved cases.
Yes they do for special accounts like that. I just retired. I was a bank manager. I've worked at a bank since I was 18 years old.

I was a NACHA rules and regs specialist and still audit for a local credit union to make sure they are in compliance.

Brainstorming is the best and that is what I considered your post, so absolutely no worries! Floating ideas to see what sinks/swims (pardon the expression considering the discussion)...is what sleuthing is all about.

I agree you are probably right about drowning being a different approach for EG..but I still considered it so I put it out there.

I do wonder about the door...possible LL stopped over to fix it...then...would he have gone around back too to look at it?

So many questions!!!
I wondered that too. As a person who owns rentals, I might not have gone around back, if I saw a kid at the front door. If there's maintenance to be done, and no one comes to the door, I'd go look at the problem, but if I think they're home, I don't want to intrude.

But what if it was meth or heroin? I don't know anything about heroin dealers or how involved they get with their customers. Pot dealers I've known also partake and so they might hang out, but there never seems to be an automatic connection or obligation to hang out--either a friendship develops or it doesn't and it's just business.

Meth? I've known some users and known of some meth houses. The people using just.do.not.care -- zero effs to give about anything beyond their use, their money, their comfort, their sex, their sleep... you get it.

One common thread I've seen at meth houses is an extremely high frequency of "garage sales" or "yard sales." People coming and going at all hours with armloads of clothes, taking turns "working the sale." Basically, I've gathered the daily setting out and bringing in of a sale is a front and excuse for high traffic. They'll do just about anything to get what they want, and there could be a chain of association -- user meets fellow user and happens to give him a ride to a relative's house which happens to be nice, so later that house is a target for break-in (looking for quick cash without too much attention such as stolen checks, metals for cash like copper wire). These types would show up at your home unexpected early in the morning -- IMO.

So -- I'm curious about her association with these types of people and places.

Bingo. Meth users, drug houses. I asked a friend who is fairly heavy l in that scene if a kid was die at their dealer’s house, would the people in the house get rid of the body. Without hesitation he said yes.

If anyone has any theories or ideas, now would be the time to throw them out. Maybe this thread keeps going O/T because we’re out of plausible theories about Lucas’ disappearance. If that’s the case, we’ll have to wait until May 14th.

I’m sure there’s much going on behind the scenes with LE and the searches. I pray it’s enough [emoji172]

Does anyone know if it's been determined EG had taken a shower shortly prior to phoning 911? I feel she would have taken the shower shortly after returning from hiding Lucas. My feeling is, EG harmed Lucas the night she went to OG.

So I have two thoughts, first one is EG was up all night hiding little Lucas, went home showered and slept.

Second thought is that sweet Lucas was harmed the night of OG visit, was put to bed but never woke in the morning. That would have EG very busy that day, come home for a quick shower and call 911.

Knowing when he actually went missing from the house could be a clue as to how far a distance he is now.

I'm a lawyer/regulatory compliance consultant for multiple institutions, and not a single one of my clients does this.

The 911 call was at 6:14 pm

Thanks PB, I edited. Looking for anything to get inside her "reasoning" -- and losing my damn mind in the process :scared::laughing::tantrum:

I should add, that a small local bank may be willing to do it, but it is nearly unheard of.
My husband manages a local veterans club here. It is the 16th largest in country. A really big one with rental properties for veterans. Hall for weddings etc. They require two signatures on all checks. It is done for charity and non profit. The acct is coded differently.

This brings me back to the question...what was the LL doing there exactly? Has that been determined?

I know we have discussed the cat, and him coming to verify if it was still there...but is that a fact? I don't think so...IIRC

So, was he there to look at the door? I feel doubtful about that now that I think about it...I don't think EG would even be responsible enough to care if it was broken... (reference...her story is that she invited in the 'scary people that scare me so much that I take a pic and send it to JH'

Was LL there for $ because they were not paid up in full on rent?

I guess I am just curious why LL was there...but I am glad he was as far as narrowing things down.

Every charity that I work with requires two board member signatures for all checks and withdrawals

I don't have any theories or ideas that haven't already been posted.

I would like to reach out to anyone who has knowledge of what happened to Lucas, or where he may be hidden. If you are reading this, please think of this innocent child before you dismiss his worth to protect your friend.

If you heard that it was an accident, or a natural death, please realize how important it is to dignify Lucas, and help bring him home for a proper burial. Don't leave this child alone and abandoned.

If you know that Emily was responsible for his death and say nothing, you will have to live with this for the rest of your life. Your loyalty to her at this this time, and disregard for justice will haunt you. Are you willing to live with this secret for the rest of your life? You don't deserve this burden. Nobody does.

Look at yourself in a mirror and study your face. Look at your eyes. Think about Lucas and your secret. Be the person who does the right thing.

Ok so, regardless how it's done so long as it's regulated, an account set up with a bank for reward money would be the way to go. We would need to check with Crimestoppers to see if they can be administrators on a special account for Lucas, or check with WPD for similar. If nothing else, I've seen several local banks set up accounts over the years for fundraising -- transplants, cancer treatment, memorials, etc -- and you let the bank handle the account, deposits only until predetermined conditions are met for funds to be released.

You're right Wildcat--we need PB to weigh in with her experience. Do rewards help, statistically? Or do they just bring out crazy theories (like my numerology one upthread)?

My concern is the plethora of fundraising activities that have already taken place -- diverse groups selling items, the most recent trying to hire a PI, a reward in existence already, and now the possibility of trying to raise more money. People are skeptical and I'm afraid they'll become weary -- but if there's a good chance it will work, we should definitely try!

The entites will require two signatures, but the institution won't guarantee (or take fault) if the item posts without the second signature.

This is neither here nor there. I can agree to disagree. This isn't helping us brainstorm about this great boy.

I agree. A is not going to work...I think the fundraiser for a reward needs to be done much more professionally, through a third-party to gain traction.

Thank you dear although as fast as checks are processed that doesn't mean those two signatures are verified. But it is an extra theft barrier and a deterrent. I actually did not work in branch but in corporate office over all the branches for CEO both my boys have worked for me through college in a branch.

Oh well I hope someone can raise some money for a reward for information on Lucas. It would be great.

Does Wichita not have a Crime Stoppers reward fund? I know up here in the Kansas City area they just created a $10,000 fund for tips on certain crimes. So far it is working. I have seen where some have small like $5,000 and I think people can add to it for a certain case.
