Her sister said she was walking on Fincastle, the same side as the post office, and towards poplar level. I don’t know how they know that though.
Did she say same side as the post office? There is no post office near Fincastle that I can find. Two of them are over 1 1/2 miles south and east of Fincastle - both on the other side of I-264. The next closest I found was 3 miles north and west of Fincastle - at US 60 (Eastern Pkwy) and KY 61 (Preston Hwy). Am I missing one?

It’s too late for me to go back and fix it. Fincastle heights is a cluster of the old barracks that were turned into apartments. She was on the same side as the office, which I’m not sure what side that’s on.

Camp Taylor and Audubon Park are all connected though. There are a couple other communities in there too, like Germantown and Parkway Village. It’s just a big patch of land between Preston hwy and Poplar Level. I grew up farther south on Preston but I used to play tennis at a park off poplar level so I would always just cut through the neighborhood to get to Preston. Audubon Park has a dogwood festival every year and my mom used to love looking at them. There are some really nice houses back there. You get closer to Poplar Level and into the front of Camp Taylor and you start noticing a change in the houses, since camp Taylor was a former military base. They’re both older neighborhoods but sit in a busy part of Louisville.

Thanks for explaining the old barracks. I looked at the google map posted upthread and wondered about those buildings - I haven't seen a neighborhood like looked like that before. Interesting!

And, thanks for your local insight. I remember you from Crystal's thread - you're great to have on a case. ;)

Yeh it’s a cool part of Louisville. Idk how
comfortable I’d feel walking around real late at night, but it’s more safe than other parts of town.

You’re welcome :) I grew up out there and still go to school in Louisville. A few years ago I moved to a county that borders the counties Louisville and Bardstown are in. Andrea is only a few years older than I am, and went to private schools, which is like its own little community of people. Because of that, we have a lot of mutual friends. Starting last week, my feeds on social media have been flooded with pics of her. It looks like she definitely has a lot of people who care about so I hope she comes home or they find her and this has a happy ending.

I saw on their page where they were looking for volunteers to help search the area. The meet up was at the fire station on Fincastle at 12pm. I haven't seen anything else about it or where exactly they were searching. There are a lot of parks, wooded areas and some creeks over there so hopefully they're combing the whole place.
