I’ve been to lock 8 and considered that earlier but I’m not familiar with 7. I don’t recall how to get there unfortunately. Have any locals considered Indian Falls or that immediate vicinity? Is anyone available to physically go out and search? TIA!

Lock 7 is close to High Bridge. Indian Falls is not a bad idea either.

I would love to know if she and her mom FT frequently...that really bothers me. In one article I read it stated her mom said she tried calling SS and SS hung up on mom but then FT her back. I am torn between was this her way of saying Mom I am in desperate need of help. Because , I just know if my daughter ever FT me at 3 am and ppl are in the car that I do not know my hinky meter will fly off the chart and I would be calling her back / texting her ASAP & letting her know I am going to be calling the police for a welfare check. Maybe I am going overboard and that was their way of communicating, but I find it too odd. I guess I am puzzled on why didn't mom FT her when she made the initial call that she was hung up on if that is their way of calling. I just don't sit well with this FT call at that time of the morning.
What her Mom did was go to sleep. In the later morning about 8:30am Mom tried to contact SS.

This shows that Mom was not concerned by the FT at 3:00am because she knew SS was in Lex and she could have called police right then but did not. The area of the bar is crawling with people and police at closing time, per the locals posting.

Absolutely...still could be an abduction/kidnapping if she was not permitted to leave when she wanted to, for example. She had a right as an adult to decide to leave with people other than those she arrived with. I don’t think anyone is claiming she was taken against her will. But what happened after the after party is the issue...did she in fact leave on foot, or worse? Only those men know. Jmo

Or, it is possible, that two of the men do not know what happened to her, and only one does. Maybe two know. Maybe none. Maybe she did FT someone to come get her, then later, her phone battery just dies. The FT wouldn't show like a regular call, and it wouldn't give them a written text or recording of the call. I think they would need the phone to get a record of a FT call from "the cloud". I'm not sure but here's a link that explains it a bit. (I don't FT) Whoever picks her up, picks her up. A fight ensues, and things go sideways. It's quite possible. Not likely, but possible.

Can You Track Facetime Calls?

Prob pictures! Or, one screwed up & told the truth.
Could LE have any data from her phone? Or, is it too soon? I was thinking she may have taken a few selfies.

They may have the data. They got it very quickly in the Savannah Pruitt case, but she was a minor. However, in Ky. no warrant is required for historical cell site location information. So they probably were able to pull any location data they needed within 48 hours. just a guess.

If one of the men gave an affidavit with info leading LE to believe a crime was committed in the home that would give them what they need. JMO

If he gave a credible tip it may just give them probably cause. However, they didn't have enough to arrest them. I do get this funny feeling that they are highly suspicious of them.

Websleuths is victim friendly. Sleuthing with a view to digging up dirt on a victim is considered victim bashing.

Post that are nothing more than an attempt to besmirch the victim have been removed as they do not appear to be relevant to the case.

Start at about :30 seconds in, interview w/Mom.

Thank you so much for posting this. Was looking for this yesterday after having a discussion about this with another member. I did not know the Mom had said Savannah was highly intoxicated. I've read many a report where the Mom said Savannah was just fine. Looked for reports saying this but just wasn't finding it and was going to look more today. You saved me a lot of time.

Why in the world would Mom let her daughter drive back home drunk? I'm not sure what all you could do to prevent her from driving drunk when Savannah and her Moms car were so far away. Plus she was in another car and Mom didn't know just where she was or where she was going to end up. Just awful.
Now that I know this it opens the door for me to think she went willingly and an overdose, ill health, rape etc are all even more possible.

Just seems if this were an accident these men would be telling what happened. It's been so long now since she left that bar with the three men. Plenty of time to think this through and get help from an Atty.

Re: the FaceTime call to her mom, I’ve gone round and round about this in my head. I have my dad and some of my closest friends saved under my favorites in my iPhone in both voice call and FaceTime format. If she was highly intoxicated, maybe she just hit the wrong command. I do it all the time and then I just go with it.
Some people seem to like facetime others don't. She's young and if she had her mom's car her mom might have wanted to see that she was okay. Facetime can be used to check up on your kid. It can also just be a prefered way of talking to people.

Are people in that area lenient about drunk driving?

You would hope if something accidental happened someone would have called 911. If someone gets injured or gets alcohol poisoning, or some sort of health problem occurs get the person medical attention. If you cover up a death or fail to call 911 you are going to be in so much more trouble. I didn't think her mom wanted her driving drunk I think she just wanted to know that she was okay and that she would be coming home in the morning.

I don't know that area. It wasn't clear if the driver was drunk. There was a mention of the couple in the backseat. It didn't sound like she could drive home when she talked to her mom. Some people crash with friends for that reason.

Tomorrow’s weather will prohibit the search and Friday looks worse. I’m wondering if they’re not confusing a tip for the woman found today with this case? Or maybe they’re related? This is a nightmare but hopefully the weekend offers better search conditions.

They still have the searchers on standby today. It's meant to rain, but it's also meant to get into the low 70s. My husband got a call about half an hour ago to be ready in case the weather changes.

I don't mean her Mom wanted her driving drunk.

Savannah's Mom let her use her car. If a person is going to drink and especially to excess they don't drive nor would you lend them your car. The Mom talks to Savannah and knows when talking to her she is highly intoxicated, has her car and needs to drive home. As a Mom I think I would have tried to find out where she was and gone to pick her up or even called the Police to retrieve my car.

It sounds unusual to me that Mom just went back to sleep after finding out Savannah was highly intoxicated and had to drive to return home Guess it doesn't matter now, can't change things but was curious if in that area residents and or the law take drunk driving seriously?

Wondering why Savannah's Mom had the attitude she displayed when finding out her daughter was highly intoxicated and would be driving.

No, in my experience drunk driving is not taken lightly here. They will take you in even if you're not actually driving-many arrests here are made just by LE seeing someone who appears to be intoxicated sitting in a parked car. Take a look under any local paper's arrest section-the majority of the arrests are for public intoxication or DUI.

As far as the people involved reporting it if there was an accident, if they somehow felt responsible (or if they were responsible) I could absolutely see them trying to hide it. It's happened before.

Yes the men involved would be in legal trouble for deposing of the corpse and other charges, Not sure how Ky laws read for this kind of crime. I am thinking, if this is what happened, they must have had a lot going on they didn't want found out by law enforcement etc.

Thanks for clarifying this.

Probable cause for a search warrant has greater flexibility then for an arrest. I totally agree that LE is focused on these men. My thoughts are they know more than they are saying, possibly have evidence, but not enough to make an arrest.

For those knowledgeable about this kind of crime, how long do you think it will be before these guys are arrested if the Police have evidence of a crime and find no body?

I took it as she would be home in the morning when the sun was up and she had sobered up or got a few hours of sleep. It sounds like it's a college town and she possibly parked at a friends so it would be normal to assume she was going to stay somewhere if she was drunk. My mom is weird about cars. She is scared to call someone if they might be driving. She won't go on highways. I couldn't drive a car with her in it because she would scream stop well before a sign or red light. I think some people are more laid back. I've had friends who have totaled a car and their parents lend them theirs the next day.

Well, in the past I'd have said that if more than one person is involved that it would just be a matter of weeks before someone folded and talked. Yet we have several other missing people in the area, people who have disappeared under similar circumstances, and we're years later without an arrest. To be optimistic, though, I'm going to say we should see movement one way or the other before March.
