My notes:
Speaker is Sheriff Normand -- sorry, had it spelled wrong the first time.
When they started searching, about seven units down, behind 2836 Destrahan Avenue -- they found a pool of blood in early search. Also several casings and a live bullet.
They found people who had heard gunshots 10-10:30 Friday night before the report. Video of entire family shopping at grocery store at 10:38. Adults went to bed around 1am, kids earlier. Around 8, noticed toothbrush missing and couldn't find daughter.
Police were trying to locate the gunshot victim at the same time. Running DNA samples.
On July 15, after a series of interviews, we began to look at an individual in relation to a sexual assault charge against "a girl in the neighborhood."
We knew at that point in time that there was a connection between Flugence and the girl.
About 10:30 last night the results of testing, DNA confirms that the blood came from a female daughter of Lisa Hill, meaning Ahlittia. Returned to that address and resumed searching. The particular garbage can she was found in we know for a fact that on Saturday and Sunday that garbage can had actually been searched.
They had coordinated with garbage company to bring the garbage to a separate area of the landfill so they could do secondary searches of Saturday and Tuesday pickups.
Unanswered question: at what point was the body disposed of?
We know from multiple sources that MF was in the area of those crime scenes multiple times Thursday Friday and Saturday.
Interviewed Russell F the brother, 21. They are satisfied that Russell had information that he hadn't volunteered. He revealed some information that may implicate MF. We are in the process of procuring arrest warrants for MF for murder as well as for teh sexual battery on the 11-year-old. Asking public to contact the JPSO if information.
Russell has been arrested and charged with obstruction of justice and is in jail.
I think he said they're looking at a number of sexual assault charges.
