Slightly OT, but very significant to me: my 22 year old granddaughter, who is a single mother of 2, posted on Facebook that she is excited because she just got a job as a cocktail waitress. This is a far cry from a dancer, I know, but this scares me. Waiting to find out where in New Orleans!

Send me a message where it is and Ill give you my impression of the place

Ok I figured it out, I was just reading chronologically and placed Thursday following Saturday instead of preceding it.

No, the page went totally down. According to the comments listed on RIP Jaren Lockhart public Facebook page it's thought to be because someone made a post about some evidence that was found that should not have been released. Then the page went poof.

Don't tell me LE or FBI or someone in LE is not monitoring these sites.

Welcome to the new world. Yes the FBI and LE monitor all sites pertaining to cases like this. In the Sierra Lamar case they have watch not only the Facebook accounts but even Sierra's twitter account. And there is always some drama or sickos that post on the sites.

I am going to lay down for a while but I wanted to leave with this thought.

If Mississippi is where the crime happened, then that may be for the best. I came across this little bit of information "With four execution so far and two scheduled this month, Mississippi is on pace to have more executions in 2012 than it has had in any year since the 1950s.

Hmm... Mississippi, looking good

moo!

ok, trying to go off to sleep for a few hours now.

Hello everyone! This is my formal post. Ive been reading since the beginning. Like most of you this case has captured my attention mainly in part due to all this locations very close to me. I am from the LaPlace area which is the common route between Kenner and Tangi Parish. My Parents along with the majority of my family live in Kenner. My Uncle who is a JPF lives 2 streets over from the Kenner Home of MAS. My Cousin is a Kenner Police. Another cousin lives in Slidell. My Aunt works at a Gas Station off Exit 13 in BSL. Another Aunt works with Lawyers in Tangi. A friend of mine is a friend of JL. I am currently living on a Military installation in Biloxi. So I am familiar with all these areas involving this case.

MOO is that JL was enticed by the 2 poi with money for a private party out of town. Since it was 2am and business was slow she probably accepted. If her shift normally ended at say 6am, She figured she had a few hours before she was due back to the BF. I believe the motive for the poi was sexually. Maybe along the route they offered her drugs and she declined. They may have been hoping to drug her in order to preform sexual acts with her? I believe the refusal of partaking in drugs lead to a struggle which ulitmately lead to JL being stabbed? What happened for there that lead to dismemberment is where my mind starts racing in a million directions. Maybe the drugs were bath salts? Anyway just my 2 cents.

I am new to the site so give me some slack. Based on what I have read on these posts and what I saw someone else ask on another site. If it was a Mississippi crime and given where the body parts have been found just look at a map of BLS and consider the casinos. If they went to a "party" maybe someone seeking an escort service etc then this maybe related to a casino location and you know the will have video.

Ok, this is odd, I am watching the local news and they report she is still in custody in Tangipahoa Parish.

Really, other than those 2 links from above, no one else is reporting that she has bonded out. Wouldn't local news stations report this as big news if she were out? The news on the Tv is that she is still in, with no mention of her being out. or a correction to the news that she was out( if that was a mistake).

I am confused but I will go lay down and I am sure when I get up this will be sorted out. I think LE is just getting their ducks in a row. I continue to have faith this will all come out ok.

Oh my. I surely hope that she isn't out. That's the last thing I wanted to wake up to! Sigh. Just thinking out loud, but shouldn't LE have given them both a lie detector test? I mean wouldn't that be a tremendous help in this situation?

Not really. They arent admissable in court and they can be beaten.

I haven't seen it reported anywhere else that she has bonded out, either. I've been checking Action News 17. :waitasec:

I do not believe that LE can give LD test without the perp agreeing.

Could they possibly be charged with at least kidnapping and taking across state borders in this case? I know it's a stretch and from what we know Jaren went without being phsyically forced but if they lied to her or maybe she was mentally coerced?
Hate to bring up the Atwood accomplice again, but if she was the one who lured the girls in that case, could MAS be looking at just a ten year (reduced to 5) sentence? Please tell me if this occurred in Mississippi there are stiffer penalties for aiding and abetting?

Not really. They arent admissable in court and they can be beaten.

Especially if she is detoxing...that really wouldn't be any help at all, I'd think. How would you even get a baseline reading on someone so chemically and emotionally unstable?

This happened in a Michigan case that some of us followed closely. Husband busted for the crime when his dumb *advertiser censored* went into a Walmart at 3AM, bought a tarp, shovel, gloves, duct tape, baseball cap, etc. In other words, he bought a murder kit at Walmart on his trek from VA to MI to kill his estranged wife. How difficult was it for investigators to stop at all the walmarts along the way and ask to see surveillance film for the specific date and time of his trip? He was cold busted, and it all came down to what he purchased at a Walmart to dispose of his wife. Venus Stewart case... very interesting--and were it not for those purchases, he might have gotten away with the crime. As of now, he's serving the rest of his life in prison, and venus' body has never been recovered (unless there's been a development since I followed the case a couple years ago).

I've never understood why a person won't reveal the location of the body after they're convicted. I followed this case a bit, too.

Maybe there's a reason MAS is not bonding out. Seems like money would not be an issue. Perhaps there's another player.

Pure conjecture.
