She may very well have been thrown from a pier, but to me, that just seems so damn risky if you're the perp. You're pretty much exposed, there is no easy way out if seen, and its a long way to carry a body from a vehicle. Certainly is possible but just seems too risky. JMO

Let's say that hypothetically, MAS's grandmother left a "wheelchair" in the home that MAS lives in. They could have used this to bring her down the pier, covering her up with a blanket - if there were people around at 3:30am.

Obviously, any scenerio could be too risky! Unless it's a secluded place? JMO

What if the "party" was to take place on the beach and/or perhaps in the water? High tide would have been peaking around sunrise on Wed. June 6th.

No one on the pier, the beach, or even driving down the road would have thought much of seeing people in the water. People are in the water at all hours of the night and day! This would mean that Jaren willingly walked...no need to transport. In some spots you can walk way, way, way out before it gets deep....even at high tide! (On June 6 the high tide recorded was a little over 2 feet) What would be ankle deep water at low tide might be up to your knees/thighs at peak high tide.

I have been reading everything I could about tides, currents, and movements of our local waters because I had thought that it was possible that MAS and TS could have possibly used the BSL bridge but it doesn't fit, all would have been drawn into the bay due to high tide.....and most likely would have been caught up in the under water currents inside the bay itself and been discovered there. It makes sense for the pier or in the water.

Few lingering thoughts I cannot shake....

MAS and TS clothes from the night Jaren went missing.....wonder if this is the "evidence" found at the kenner home that is being tested by the FBI? (could we be SO fortunate?)

And since LE has finally confirmed our curiousity about the cell phone records, did any of them indicate that Jaren was here in Mississippi that day/night/wee hours of the morning? It appears that they have narrowed it down enough so that HCS (Hancock County Sheriff) has remained the lead investigators.....right? If the last place for her phone to ping off a tower was in LA or didn't ping off any Mississippi towers wouldn't it be enough to assume that this happened in LA? And not in Mississippi? Which would indeed cause the case to change hands, correct?

Of course this is all MOO

They may have a federal case if she was kidnapped and transported cross state lines. Am i correct? Im no lawyer

Ive spent many many nights on garfierld pier as a child. Me n my dad fished there alot not likely that pier would be empty alot of people fish at night i always did flat out its too damn hot to fish in the daytime in the summer fishings better at night real good

Possible witness identified in Jaren Lockhart murder

I read the first article as well prior to reading the updated version. After reading your post I started to question myself. I went back to google and found this caption below.

WLOX‎ - 7 hours ago

Possible witness identified in Jaren Lockhart murder. Posted: ... are getting no help from Margaret Sanchez, one of the two suspects in the case.

Did a litte digging on yesterdays WLOX.com newsreport with headline:
" Possible witness identified in Jaren Lockhart murder "
And I was able to find a bit more of yesterday's original newsreport, which apparently was removed and replanced by a different/edited/updated version.

Here is what I was able to recover from yesterday's original version:

Authorities in Hancock County say phone records have now identified a possible witness, someone who may be able to shed some light into what happened the night Jaren Lockhart was murdered. But, investigators are getting no help from Margaret Sanchez, one of the two suspects in the case. She refuses to talk with investigators about this new lead. You may recall Sanchez was just featured in the ABC show Final Witness, talking about a similar murder case in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina

Maybe this Media outlet jumped the gun. IDK But, that story started out 'possible witness" that quickly morphed into throw-away untraceable phone. :waitasec:

So now it seems MAS has pleaded no contest, has been given credit for time served and they say she can bond out for 35,000.

Tangipahoa doesn't want her there anymore. She causes too much unwanted attention.

Her lawyer thinks that the prosecutors will have a hard time proving that she knew TS was a sex offender on the run. he also said they didnt find anything in the house in Kenner but I think he is a bit premature claiming that as all of the test results arent back yet.

Oh and I did post on the abc site that I listed about my feelings on their refusal to release the footage to LE. I worded it very clearly about how I felt and they deleted my comment. I wasn't out of line, rude or anything but I guess they didn't like it.

BBM .... In light of the info from our WS "involved" who says that MAS's mom says that MAS and Jaren were friends and that Jaren had been to the Kenner house multiple times, I'm thinking that it is possible that some belonging of Jaren's or some DNA might be in the house or that Jaren was at that house that night (but was killed elsewhere). I don;t think that MAS and jaren were such close friends but rather MAS is rewriting history to cover her scrawny behind. Funny how she was such good friends with 2 girls who ended up being dismembered but there is no one else alive (but MAS) who states this. Addie and Jaren are both dead so they can't tell their side.

Or maybe MAS and TS were somehow smart enough to keep the scene contained to a bathroom tub, with tarps (like Charles Atwood and Patricia Biehn did) and thoroughly washed and bleached (to destroy DNA) the area afterwards. They had time to do it certainly and TS surely would have researched how NOT to get caught. But still, I don't think the Kenner house was the killing scene.

There is evidence MAS's family has begin to throw out old mattresses and debris from the house which would not be possible if it were still under police custody as a potential crime scene.

Sadly, i don't think this was TS's first murder. He has been on the loose and unsupervised thru many different places from what it looks like. As we saw in the Mickey Shunick case, BSL had killed before he killed Mickey when he killed Lisa Pate in 1999. He was found with a stash of women's id which may indicate even more victim's (although that has not been indicated).

I really thinking it was a pier that was used. The reason why I was
guessing about the Garfield Ladner Pier, because of the length. If they
dumped JL at the end of the pier, that could be a possibility too. I'm
curious to know on what you find near Buccaneer State Park. Thanks!

Came across this link which I know is TMI but might help some u derstand areas around here and what locals refer to when posting.

The Garfield Ladner Pier is pg 36 - someone asked if it wasn't bad weather around 3:30-4 am "that night" - it did not get bad until the Fri. That Thurs as we passed by LE on beach around 5:45, it was nice weather.

Page 7 shows the area behind the Silver Slipper that many have mentioned. Page 8 is also in that area - at Bayou Caddy. These areas are very dark and empty at night. Page 8 page 27 is around Bordages Marina - totally secluded and bayous go out into Gulf/Sound but don't think anything could easily move to larger water.

Page 16 is what some have mentioned being across from Bucaneer - the concrete pier. It's actually pass Bucaneer in Clermont Harbor but not far from Bucaneer. Currently the area directly across from Bucaneer is marshes - would be easy for someone to dump something out around there.

Page 13 is Cedar Point, 14 is at Dunbar Ave and 15 is at Hollywood Casino. These are at very end of Beach Blvd and very secluded. Anything dumped around there could move west to BSL/Waveland or across Bay/MS Sound to Long Beach area - where other pcs/parts were found. All depends on currents and wind which were not in anyway normal pass Friday.

When looking at all areas, you have to realize that until you get into Waveland going east on Beach, it's totally dark at night. And, people are always on seawall, the beach or on piers. So no one would think anything if they saw a couple in marsh area late at night. Weather is still good prior to Thurs and people would be out fishing all night.

Anyway, probably more info than anyone wanted but thought link was interesting and a good representation of area.

Excuse any spelling or other errors - not easy on iPad.

My comment is still up there, but it's in an inconspicuous place. I clicked on final witness and then on the episode, and commented there. I don't know if you did the same. I also went to some interview with feinstein and commented there but i didn't check to see if that was still there.

Ok, went to the feinstein interview site, and there are three or four comments including mine there. There is one from "originalshellfish"? I think was the name that sounded like someone on our site. But I was just reading the page before, and someone (I'm sorry, I'm tired and not good at remembering names) wrote that the reason they haven't honored the subpoena is because it is out of state. This person sounded in the know. So maybe we've jumped the gun a little here.

What i remember about swimming in mississippi gulf in that area (and maybe this can be confirmed by someone living there now) is that you can walk out an awful long ways when the tide is out. Maybe they even checked the tide table to see when the tide was going out and didn't factor in wind and other currents carrying the body back in. They also probably thought sharks would take care of things too. I think a lot of us are giving those two way too much credit in the brain department. They probly just did it and hoped it would all go away.

If MS didnt know that TS was a sex offender its the first time i have heard of ignorance being an excuse to break a law. But i do understand. I dont run a background check on all my friends

LE should ask if they can go view film instead of trying to force the film company to give it up. They may have aproached this th wrong way. But what do i know

As far as threowing body from garfield pier. I would say from my experiance 90 percent of the time during summer nights that pier has regulars fishing. Ive fished there over 100 trimes growing up and never was on it alone
