The looking for dirt by the media is bothering me.

Yes, I agree -certain gossip oriented media is so intrusive. Rag reporting seems to be the price (side effect) of fame. It's just terrible because Prince was careful about his privacy.
Would it be any different if the COD was clear from the beginning? Sadly I do not think so.

Fortunately, I did get the sense from what the Sheriff said last week that yes they will find out what happened and relay their findings, but also emphasized the need to respect Prince and his family's privacy. I really liked him for that.

I also wonder where are the HIPPA lines in a circumstance like this? I mean if the COD is not related to an underlying illness or other condition - would they publish - both? I wouldn't think so.

It seems Prince made a big effort to assure the public he was fine a few days before he passed. And was alone when he probably should have had someone to watch over him, bring him some soup, etc..

But maybe, in the end for him - he was not well and wanted to be alone? If that was his choice, that's ok too. imo - I just hope that he did not suffer.

The financial impact of Prince's death is huge, affecting many who were part of his payroll, service people, food services, landscapers, cleaning service, body guards, chauffeurs, pilots, all of whom are now suddenly unemployed. Then, if this isn't bad enough, the latest word is Prince did not have a will, a financial disaster for his family. I seriously wonder how Paisley Park can survive. Performers came to PP to play/perform because of Prince. I cannot see an attraction to PP now.

I thought I read his home would be turned into a Muesem. Hopefully it brings in $ for the area.

You can't just say Paisley Park will become a museum. Things depend on the financial outcome if there is or there isn't a will. Who will own it? Who will decide to donate a $10 million dollar property for it to become another Graceland? The major benefactor is his sister, but he also has half-siblings. There is also the possibility of his church being a benefactor. His fortune is assessed at around $300 million. Probate and attorneys will take a BIG chunk if there is no will.

I saw a post I cannot link but someone with more skill can perhaps.

All about how he gave tons of money to help people. Van Johnson talking. He did it secretly. Just amazing

I'm aware of donations he made to help people in many countries with disaster relief, literacy, education and legal representation. I'm sure there is much, much more that I'm not aware of.

Yes! The fact that he did it on the condition of anonymity is just beautiful! What a soul- that man was a Prince... A prince of a human!

That has has been for sale, multiple times over the years, never have I see much of a price for it maybe location is causing it to stay low market value.

Who Will Step Forward to Claim Prince's Millions?

by Associated Press

When he was alive, Prince made hundreds of millions of dollars — for record companies, concert venues and others. That much is certain. What's less clear is how much he left behind and who'll come forward to claim it.

Less than a week after the pop star died and an outpouring of grief and nostalgia prompted fans to buy 2.3 million of his songs in three days, it's still uncertain whether he left a will, or who will handle his estate.

Prince owned a dozen properties in and around his famous Paisley Park complex in suburban Minneapolis: mostly rural pieces of land and some houses for family members. Public records show those properties were worth about $27 million in 2016.

Estimates of how much licensing his personal brand will bring in after death reach to the purple clouds...
