Maybe they wanted to wait for JT to be able to fly in Monday to get more national exposure.

In_Da_Middle: I was thinking maybe something developed along those lines also.
Maybe an agreement was made for everyone to sit down and talk.
Maybe something good is happening and we just don't know.
It is IMO another public opinion blow.

This was a generous press release from them.

I think a better explanation could have been delivered here.
Like everyone is saying... Tired from what? Get out there and look for your kids JI & DB. Do whatever it takes, even if it means firing your attorneys and start being parents to baby Lisa who is just an innocent little girl who can't yell out saying, "I've been kidnapped! Help!", or who can't pick up the phone and call 911, or who can't run out of somebodys house and go for help!

If I were the local media I would have said thanks, but no, thank you on the tour anyway. Short is jerking them around now because the local media had already planned to be there and cleared their schedules for it.

IF I were local media, I would not give Short, Tacapina, BS, or even the parents the time of day. I would keep my reporting limited to Baby Lisa, showing her missing poster in all of my live reporting, and plaster it to all of my articles. The local media can take the high road on this one. I would also do my live reporting smack in front of the Police Station.

Local media was shut out early on in favor of high paying news outlets. GMAB. Local media/reporters report on what is news in their town which is what they are supposed to do. That is what would happen where I live.
I just do not 'get' why these people are so opposed to local media.

I can understand that the residents in the neighborhood wanting their privacy again, but every reporter was on Baby Lisa's story. They do need to move on out of there now, though.

I'm getting that feeling too. Short herself said that Baby Lisa was the glue (or some other phrase like that) that held the family together. DB refuses to move back to the home. I wonder how long JI's family is willing to let them stay...indefinitely?

This us getting ridiculous.

First giving away tours of the house like it's some kind of morbid theme park attraction.

Now retracting all previous statements and promises for some rest.

Not that people don't deserve a break from time to time, but there seems to be a good deal of resting in this case. I hope the time is being used constructively, even if the media isn't privy to it. Kind of hard to sit back and relax with a beer and some barbecue with your baby missing, or is it?

Another 4 days and it will be 4 weeks since Baby Lisa went missing.

IMHO something happened to cause an upset to the apple cart. Whether that's a new lead, or to get out of the boys interview -- but I bet my last dime that something is gonna break, and soon.

Baby Lisa will be another month old very soon, and that means her looks are changing everyday. The baby everyone is looking for may not look much like her for much longer. But back at the farm....the parents are "resting".

This doesn't bother me in the least, they are so transparent it's embarrassing! I bet Short thought they would cooperate with HER, but NO-- they do what they want and when. It's okay though, because meanwhile, over at the forensics lab, LE is meticulously going through all that evidence.

Don't forget we have a cadaver dog hit... rest assured a lot is getting done at this very moment.

I saw no mention that DB or JI were going to be at the tour or the press conference. They can sit on their "exhausted" behinds and do more of a whole lot of nothing if they want to. What does that have to do with the attorney cancelling? She's too exhausted to keep her appointments as well? And now they're all too exhausted to get the boys to the child protection center tomorrow for their interview as well?

Hopefully what they are doing is banging out a confession and the real story of what happened that night. Wouldn't that be nice?
