I don't know if the parents did anything to Lisa or not. But holy cow they have done nothing but fuel the fire. I just can't defend these people.

I get the feeling the attorneys got a call from New York saying, "Excuse me, about that house tour thing, your clients signed a contract with us remember?"

Yes, but that would have nothing to do with the Child Protective Services interviewing the boys for LE. I have a feeling the parents just don't want the boys to speak to anyone. I still don't know who are the puppets or who is the puppet master but it's obvious someone is pulling the strings.


I just saw the boys interviews are still scheduled, waiting and hoping.

IMO, LE knows "what really happened" ... but I think they want to "dot the I's and cross the T's" ...

My problem with Short and this article is the same as before. I can only take what she says in quotes as coming from her. Anything else is just not verifiable.

Next week? or the next weeks?...dangling the boys' interviews...

Short said the interviews of Lisa’s brothers by child experts will go on as planned.

No quotes. What does this mean? Will go on as planned...in KC? With the forensic child investigators? On a Friday? This Friday?

That is the only appointment I have heard Short say was in KC. She made a point of saying that the boys would be questioned in Kansas City. I wondered why she felt obliged to tell the media where the boys would be...now I know.

The days not over, and I'm certainly not gonna hold my breath. I say right now there's prolly a 75% chance the boys won't be interviewed.

For now, I'm going with "something big happened" or the family wants to do whatever they need to do, to prepare for whatever comes out of the boys' interviews and tests tomorrow. That's if the link in my above post is not a typo.

So maybe the attorney has something much more important, case-wise, to do than give the ridiculous house tour. And maybe the attorney already knows that the previously prepared and scheduled press conference announcement for today needs revision.

Could be.

My personal opinion is that JT strongly advised against both the tour and presser, and Short showed deference to him because JT is a Big Time Lawyer.

I imagine the public backlash doesn't bother them. The possibility of going to prison might be a significant worry though, and a good reason to avoid the police and the media. These lawyers are in damage control mode for a reason, IMO, and it isn't trying to avoid a public backlash. Every move they have made since the lawyers came aboard has done nothing but add to the backlash - and protect their clients. Wonder why? Maybe the lawyers have come to the same conclusion as LE in regards to the parents.

Two things happened this week that interested me.

1.) DB's husband (Sean or Brian?) made a statement. Within that statement he made a comment that "this is all so crazy", and also that he would love to have his son back.

2.) The mother of JI's son gave an interview on video. That was late yesterday, IIRC. She has an attorney. I do not know why she has an attorney, what type of attorney it is, or when she retained that attorney.

Rest assured, the parents of each boy will have something more to say. Maybe these two things may cause Ms. Short to have to do some legal work and not tours?

I still think it may be more than this that made the tour be cancelled, though. I was just trying to think if maybe some recent events caused the parents to re-think the tour Ms. Short was going to give.
