Big fan of Detective Flores here, but it was Detective Michael Melendez who was the camera specialist who testified about retrieving the photos and demonstrated in court how the shutter could be easily triggered from any pressure on the back while the camera was upside down.

He's cute, btw. :)

Now I remember, and thank you for reminding me.

I don't see Mr. Martinez badgering the defense witnesses. He has to be persistent because they lie and/or twist the truth. Loud, yep at times....I LOVE IT!!....RUDE..haven't seen that yet except from Jodi and the 'doctor'. From all I have seen, JM know EXACTLY what he is doing. He is organized, has his facts straight and can back them up and he stands by Lawyer 101...never ask a question you don't KNOW the answer to. I think his conviction record speaks for itself. JMO of course

Yes, he is so darned good that he doesn't have to stand at the podium and read his stuff into a microphone. He knows this case thru & thru and he won't put up with slacking & lieing. I love it.

Well, I do personally have one problem with Nurmi and that was when he lied to Chris and Sky Hughes about the so-called letters Travis wrote about his "interest in little boys." I remember me and my husband watching Chris testify about this and I was almost sick to my stomach. Nurmi told Sky these letters had been proven 100% to have been written by Travis but actually by then, they had already been suspect. He lied to Sky Hughes and Chris Hughes called him a pig and liar on the stand. I agreed. It was a very low blow, unethical and painful for Sky Hughes.

I have no respect for that man. Now for Wimott, I truly don't care. Her eye rolling and huffing and puffing are unprofessional to me, but, I haven't heard or seen anything unethical.

Well, I know they are doing everything to get their client off, but I could never sleep with myself at night knowing that I was allowing a confirmed pathological liar accuse a victim, who cannot defend himself, of such horrendous things. I get that she needs a defense, but I don't get the dishonesty that has been presented as evidence. I'm sure you agree, but I can't let Wilmott of the hook...especially putting the inept Dr. Fog on the stand as an "expert."

True, but imo it's right on the line. While she claims she broke up with him, I believe what Travis wrote in his last blog, that when he turned 30--which was the previous year, 2007--he reevaluated his life and decided he wanted to date from then on with marriage in mind. He admitted he mulled it over for a while. So I wouldn't be surprised if even before they 'officially' broke up June 29, as JA claims, he hadn't already decided she was not the kind of woman he wanted to marry.

So it's possible he put her name in, but if he was going to take her name off, wouldn't he have done so much earlier than April 2008? He was already dating others long before then.

The mystery, it appears, is IF he did put her name down as the one to accompany him on the trip, WHEN he did it.

:)

Are you an attorney? If someone were "Under The Rule", future witnesses for the defense (for instance) would NOT be allowed to hear prior testimony. This is what I am trying to verify. I might be asking this question in the wrong thread...

I believe, in this case, that the judge instructed both sides to tell their future witnesses not to watch the trial.

I have a question.

I asked this in the court thread but no one replied so maybe someone in this thread knows...
What happens after the rebuttal from the state? Does the DT get to answer to the rebuttal?

TIA

Good night all...:eek:fftobed: It's been fun hanging out with all of you tonight.:seeya:

Realy Chris said that to nurmi? Do you have a link where I can see

And if he took her name off, when he TOLD her he had done that.

Not unless the judge allows something new in on rebuttal. Which she shouldn't.

Not Me, I share some things with fellow Websleuthsers privately and in confidence, but I do not want many things on the threads! I respect her privacy and not sharing with us. sometimes I read things and feel like journalists are trying to get more than we want to share!

Not referring to your post of course!

I have seen a few posters that I suspected had ulterior motives get the boot around here. The mods/members are pretty darn smart :rocker:

There were a lot of cute professionals in this case...all on the state's side. Nice to have something to brighten a crazy and infuriating trial.

Does it appear to anyone else that Jodi Arias tried to get to Travis' place before he was to depart for Cancun with another woman? Isn't this obvious?

The duvet cover was in the dryer. I don't think Jodi would stick around to do 2 loads of laundry with a butchered Travis in the shower upstairs. I think she left first and came back. Travis stripped the bed and threw it in the washer...duvet, sheets, pillow cases. (A last fling with Jodi and wash the bedding asap and move on to future better choices...lol) He got in the shower and she came back in a rage and ready to kill him because he would not commit to her in an earlier verbal showdown. The rest is on camera.. she kills him. I think she then moved his washer contents to the dryer and threw in her bloody towels etc. with the camera and bleach into the washer.
I have a queen sized bed and standard size washer and dryer. When I strip my bed down for washing I can't fit the duvet, flat and fitted sheets and pillow cases all wash at once. I do it in 2 loads. Duvet and one sheet, then the other sheet, pillow cases and a few other random items to make a full load. Travis had a huge bed. I believe proof was that Travis was an excellent housekeeper for a single male and would have not tried to put it all in at once. From pictures, he had stand size washer and dryer as well like mine. The items in the washer she moved to the dryer may not include all of the bedding.

Agree about everything except the shower motive. Do I think JA would drive 1,000 miles one way to sneak into Arizona, undetected and unrecognizable, just to take a few *advertiser censored* pics with Travis? IMO she intended to murder him, time was running short as his roommate was due home around 6 pm. I think he'd already had a shower earlier in the day after their rendezvous and that the sole reason he ended up in the shower 37 1/2 minutes before 6 pm was to pose for JA's Psycho Shower Scene. At the point of a gun, imo.

JA is diabolical. She commented on that last face shot of Travis alive, saying what a great photo of him it was. Look how terrified he looks! He knew his fate then, and probably 8 minutes earlier. So sad. MOO of course.

I've been reading about this case but not really participating. I'm in Australia so it rarely gets a mention in our news and I don't have time to read all of the threads so I miss a lot. Jodi's interview room singing and handstands got a mention in our news last week though!

I have a question - how long are they expecting the trial to last?

Forever?
Just kidding....my best guess would be 3 more weeks of trial. Than deliberation/sentencing.

So...another month? 5 weeks at most. Only a guess.
