Very DEEP denial by fiancee! The typical reaction prior to knowing ALL the evidence? I suppose so but still feel for her.

BOSTON — The fiancee of a Boston medical school student accused of fatally shooting a woman who placed an ad on Craigslist says there's no way he could have done it.

In an e-mail to ABC's "Good Morning America" on Tuesday, Megan McAllister says Philip Markoff "could not hurt a fly." She says he's "a beautiful person inside and out."

McAllister says she and Markoff expect to be married in August "and share a wonderful, meaningful life together

I remember watching something on dateline or 20/20 about a husband that murdered his wifes two best friends and she stood by his side and said nothing you could do would make me love you anyless.but before they caught him all she wanted was the killer to be found and justice to be served. Wierdest thing.

I wonder if megan will ever come to terms with it.

Wow. I feel so bad for his fiance. I am engaged and I am trying to imagine cops showing up to tell me my fiance was a possible serial offender and known to have killed at least one woman who HE sought out via CL. I understand the denial. I don't think I could believe it at first either.

Were any of his victims sexually assaulted or did he have sex with any of the victims prior to the assaults- do we know? It seems that robbery was the motive.....the obvious one anyway. I would think that ultimately the motive was to satisfy his desire to control, to frighten and to humiliate.

If this guy is the culprit he is obviously very cunning and deceptive. It is very fortunate that he was caught so early on in his criminal career, as I feel certain that this is a case where he was doing it for more than just $. I wouldn't doubt for a second that he was getting thrills off of tying these women up etc...and the fact that he perpetrated another crime so soon after killing another human being, is just chilling and highly indicative of his pathology, despite his apparent "normal" life.

I feel absolutely terrible for his fiancée. This kind of deception by somebody you love just haunts you. Furthermore, I couldn't believe the nastiness people were sending on their wedding site, how can so many people be so cruel?

It'll be interesting to see how this guy pleads, although I wouldn't be surprised if there is a suicide attempt by this man, he seems to have put alot effort building a duel image for himself, which is obviously shattered by this arrest, but this is total speculation on my part.

Mostly, I am glad that Julissa now has a chance to get justice as well as his other victims and that LE has stopped a serial criminal in his tracks. Good for them.

I couldn't have said it better.

Megan may be in denial right now, but she will thank her lucky stars later, when she realizes that she could have married a killer and sociopath. I hope she has a lot of emotional support.

What other eveidence do they have against this man? Just curious. I don't think the videos look all that much like him. Of course I hope that they have caught the right man and that this is over. I wish so much for Megan that it isn't true. If they do have the wrong man though, his life has been ruined.

According to this, they found guns and plastic zip ties in his apartment. LE also feels that they have a motive -- gambling debts. We should know more after the arraignment at noon EST.

While I feel horribly for the fiancee, I did find this quote (sent to Good Morning America) strange: "A police officer in Boston (or many) is trying to make big bucks by selling this false story to the TV stations. What else is new?? "

What else is new? As in LE makes a practice of selling stories to media? Particularly false ones??!!?? While I can appreciate believing your loved one would be incapable of committing these crimes, isn't there a better, less antagonistic way to express it?

HLN News on TV just said the arraignment will start soon, as the delay was waiting for the victim's family to arrive.

Said they will be "bringing it to us" once it starts....

So crazy how he looks like he wouldn't hurt a fly. So normal and sweet looking.

He also stared straight ahead at the judge with no emotion showing. I looked around at the people seated behind him, and I wasn't sure his fiance was present (she could have been). Waiting for HLN to show the press conference that's expected today, but have to run out for errands soon. I'm sure it will be all over the news tonight though.

Defense atty speaking at news conference.

Asked if family members of suspect were there. DA said not that he is aware of.

DA said his client pleaded not guilty and is not guilty....

Looks like the wedding related sites are now down.. which is a good thing for the fiancee

Apparently police have been following him for some time and tracking him .. I beleive he was arrested in RI on his way back to Boston..or home..

What do you guys think?

I thought I heard a quick blurb on HLN today that stated that the husband in Warwick said that this wasn't the guy that he attacked. Anyone see that on the web anywhere?

What do you guys think?

I think it looks a lot like him, but I didn't think so at first with the wedding site photos, as well as others before this court appearance.

So his lawyer said he was unaware if his client's family members were there at the hearing. I wonder why they didn't go???

Eta: Sorry, he said "not that he was aware of" re: family members
