This witness is really excited about her subject matter. She must love her job. She said "cool" and even wiggled a little with joy! Great witness. Even if I really don't know what she's talking about.

IMO MOO
I love how educated this witness is.
She has a great attitude.

It's becoming clear there are multiple ways to view data on the phone itself.
But wouldn't it be more accurate to view data directly from google's server?

OK. I am awaiting what AJ has to say about all of this, as it really was a HUGE deal all over social media and television. It made JMC look really bad. Now, I am thinking, that perhaps she may very well be innocent and not in on any kind of cover up. She may not really know what happened to JOK. At least she didn't appear to know if she was casually looking up sports related inquiries before she went to sleep.

That said, it still does not answer all of the other concerns about the rush to judgment and complete lack of any real investigation outside of zeroing in on KR.

@JHall7news

Hyde's conclusion: defense expert made multiple mistakes,she concluded Jen McCabe was looking up the "Hockomock Sports" website at 2:27 am, then googled hos long to die in cold" at 6:23am. She says defense drew a false conclusion that a google about dying in the cold was deleted.

@BienickWCVB

Hyde's bottom line: Search for sports was done at 2:27am and search for "hos long to die in cold" was done at 6:23am and 6:24am. She says no evidence of any purposeful deletions.

This backs up Jen McCabe's testimony that she used her phone to look up basketball info in the middle of the night, then used it after O'Keefe was found - at Read's request - to search for info about hypothermia.

That's my question. Why didn't they have someone from Google come testify to this? Probably had to search to find an expert who would say what they wanted. JMO

Agree but Lally has to defend the accusations the defense put out there in this case.
The thing is he's spent more time defending against the defense's case then presenting his own.

Let him put on his own case that showcases all the evidence he has against Karen Read. If he puts forth a convincing case, the jury will convict and won't care what the defense says. That's the strategy that gets convictions everyday all across the country. Lally can always put forth a rebuttal witness or two after the defense rests, if he needed to.

However, this ridiculous parade of witnesses only gives credence to the defense case. For example, why did he call Colin Albert when the prosecution theory is that he was nowhere near the Albert home? All that testimony did was raise reasonable doubt when the defense exposed Colin as a liar on cross.

Lally's real problem is that the case is weak at best. And the case for murder in the second degree is almost non-existent. "They argued a month prior in Aruba and it's possible they argued in the car although there's no evidence of that." Really!?

I wonder if there's ever been a hit and run case that's gone on this long in the history of the world.

I think she would argue that because this search was done on an open tab, she can't tell. I assume the other searches were done on new tabs. The defense has their own experts and I think someone from Google, so I'm not going to conclude anything yet.
I would be very surprised if the other search was done on a new tab. “How long does it take to digest food” was 6:23:49 “How long ti die in ckld” was at 6:23:51 and “hos long to die in cold” was at 6:24:18. Those are in pretty quick succession and would be strange for her to Google the first 2 in a new tab and then switch over to the older tab for the 3rd search.

Wow, a juror let go this morning. Glad someone turned the juror in.
Where does it say that the juror was "turned in" and for what reason? I'm only seeing "personal to that juror". IMO.

Wait, I thought today's juror was engaged to be married and it was only for personal reasons she had to leave.
But maybe I missed something?

But the defense hasn't even presented their case yet. He's defending their own witnesses AGAIN. He's been doing that since day 1 of the trial. I'm still waiting for him to show KR deleted Ring camera footage like he said in his openings.
Agree and believe he has to defend because the investigation was pretty crappy. I believe he will wrap it up once he gets past all the side stuff.

Sorry maybe I missed it but did the witness provide another example of the same thing happening on McCabe's phone? Because if she went, look here's another time on another day you can see this same issue came up I'd be like ok I get this as a juror.

But if you don't there's doubt for me on that if I'm a juror

The defense is going to put on their own witness that is going to try to blow this witness' testimony out of the water. I think it's an FBI specialist too. Remember the defense said they had definitive proof that the search was made @2:27am. They tried to get the case tossed because of it.

In my opinion there are so many different ways computers and programs use and access information that there are more than one way to get from point A to point B. That's why there are so many ways hackers can get into something and why internet security is so fluid. Think about how many security and other updates you get on your computer. It's always changing. One person does things one way, another does things a different way and they both can be right and end up at the same spot so to speak.

We'll see what happens when the defense disputes this testimony. Personally when the Google search " hos long to die in the cold" happened isn't a big smoking gun to me. It's one of many shady things that happened. I can put this in the prosecution column as a win and it still doesn't move the needle for me. There are plenty of other things that give me reasonable doubt.

I want someone to explain the 40-something butt dials??

She did not. And she also didn’t explain why the “hos long” search (6:24am) was the one allegedly incorrectly time stamped for 2:27am even though there were 2 searches immediately prior to that at 6:23:49 and 6:23:51. Shouldn’t one of those be the ones attributed to 2:27am?
