This wouldn't shock me since one GF (or a friend of theirs? I can't actually recall offhand), has said that she found images on his computer and he beat her as a result. If someone found images of abuse (of any age), and did nothing to report it, then they are complicit. Anyone who saw images or video probably doesn't want to talk to police now for this reason. They probably fear they could also be charged....

Any decent person, who played no part, who knows CB is behind bars, who has relevant information, should have nothing to fear! It is as easy as saying "Look here is what I know"... - CB is a dangerous man, deranged even and some people, forever, will genuinely live in fear of him!
I agree though, if anybody knows anything, it will probably be an ex girlfriend. There seems to have been 'somebody' on the scene in his life, be it a girlfriend or male pal, in the weeks and months between these crimes. The fact is, its KNOWN that somebody is withholding information in Madeleines case ie the phone call. The McCanns are going through hell. Somebody out there holds the key that will lock him up for good. People need to speak up! X

why assume that no-one has spoken up.
LE don't have to publish to the public that they have spoken to the person on the other end of that 30 minute call. maybe they already have.
if they let the public know they have tracked him/her down, they also let CB know ... why would they want to do that.

That old chestnut. I mean as much as the parents being involved fits his narrative it’s shocking that he won’t consider any other possibility.

There is also the £300k+ lawsuit that the McCann's won, only for it to be overturned on appeal on the basis he presented facts based on the evidence that they gathered.

Even if CB confessed, I think Amaral would maintain it was still the McCanns doing. Zero incentive now to say anything different.

What we need to keep in mind is Amaral spoke to the state of the investigation at the time he left. We know it is broadly accurate from the testimony in Lisbon which is what the supreme court found in dismissing the parents legal action.

Of course he has not been involved since then so we don't know the current thinking of PJ.

GA is aware of lots of evidence and details he told about and which none of us can access in the news. Particularly what LE in Germany are doing. He had the pictures in high detail taken last year and he didn't get them from newspapers.

Just picking up on a couple of Amaral's quotes in thwt article. Firstly this one -

"There were only two ways to enter (into the apartment): with a false key or through the window," explained Gonçalo Amaral.

Not that is especially important but what about the patio doors which everyone admits were unlocked? Thats three ways.

Gonçalo Amaral stated that the saliva sample found "is from a baby with breast milk" and that he was in a bed other than Maddie's.

Isn't this the sample though that was postively linked to a previous occupant of 5A? The sample Germany have requested is the one that they were unable to obtain a DNA extract from.
