My question is, what data was deleted from the simulator?

Could be configuration settings... could be anything I guess... I'm guessing it was just something basic...

I have a feeling the RAAF and US have used the Jindalee system as well as assets at Pine Gap (our "Area 51" for those who don't know, you can google earth it, but most of its underground... all you can see are special receiver units) to track the flight and they know where it is. They've really nailed it down to a pretty small area they seem pretty sure of...

Yeah, I noticed that the area we were searching seemed quite small and no where near anything. It made me wonder why THAT spot. It just seemed kind of random (to me, who knows nothing more than I read here).

Yep, you called it Derryn. I've snipped bits from the article.

Information about the missing MH370 flight gathered from US spy satellites at a military base in Australia is being withheld from the Malaysian government, according to reports.

The Jindalee military installation outside Alice Springs could hold the secret to the missing Malaysia Airlines plane, the New Straits Times reports.

But Canberra is reportedly unwilling to disclose whether its RAAF radar was tracking the Boeing 777 as it flew.

It is also believed that Pine Gap, the joint US-Australian military base in the Northern Territory could hold information about the missing flight.

Pine Gap's primary function is to control US spy satellites, but no information from the base has been shared with the Malaysian government.

I don't think they have found it but I agree that the US have been onto the surveillance radars and whatever else they may have at Pine Gap in Australia. I read tonight that the NTSB gave info that has narrowed the search area as a result which is promising. Though the reason given was to do with fuel projections not what their own surveillance may have revealed. Not that it matters as long as they find it.

I spoke too soon. Is anyone watching Sky? It's all kicking off with the families. My word. Practically just been a riot at the press conference.

The lady in red has upset me, such raw grief.

I don't think I've ever seen such a total shambles on live news. Awful awful awful.
