LOL, that is hilarious! I have the flu and now I'm choking from laughing so hard:floorlaugh:

I wrote that because for a long time it seemed like I was the only one who thought the pilot's "super mega sophisticated and super mega suspicious" simulator wasn't at all sophisticated and not at all suspicious. I think branding anyone a terrorist because they own a simulator is appalling. If you had read the thread you would have noticed that I have almost been screaming that it wasn't an unusual set up and that we know people who have similar and better. It seems pilots like flying and like to practice! Whacky bunch that they are!

Haha thanks for clearing that up :) I didn't think you could be serious but I had to check :)
I've skipped some pages and I'm also not able to keep up with so many individuals because I find I read the post but don't read who posted it.

Hope I didn't offend :)

I am trying to get a better idea of the fake passport men according to the friend's report. I see a lot of red flags:

1. Pouria Nour Mohammadi, 19, and Reza Devalar, 29, knew each other and were traveling together. Had already been in Malaysia approximately 5-6 days. Where were they? Who did they stay with?

2. They showed up at Pouria's old high school bud's (Mohammad Mallaeibasir, 18) house to ask for a place to stay the night because he had a car and offered them a ride to airport. Means they called him prior to coming over or saw him?

3. Mallaeibasir had not seen Pouria for 2 years, but he did not ask why they were in Malaysia. (I guess he didn't ask Pouria why a 19 yo was hanging out with a 29 yo or where Reza was going.)

4. Pouria said he was going to Germany to see his mother due to family problems (no mention of seeking asylum from Pouria or his mother later).

5. The two men spent "a long time" on the phone with a man called Ali speaking in Persian in their room in hushed tones, but Mallaeibasir only listened for 5 seconds and only heard, "Okay Ali". He didn't ask the two what was going on with such secrecy in his house.

6. The two men had little belongings with them especially Pouria (the one supposedly seeking asylum) knowing he would never return to Iran. Both did have laptops. Wouldn't you take more than a backpack if you were going to be leaving for good? They had already been gone a week (dirty clothes?).

7. Pouria's mother called Mallaeibasir to tell him about the fake passports after the plane went missing. How did she have his number and know to call him?

8. After he dropped them off, he called (both had cell phones). His good friend who just used him for a place to stay and a ride answered but hung up on him (ignored him why?). He called Reza (he only met him the night before so how did he have his number?) and Reza talked to him 3 minutes.

This story is so bizarre and it gives definite reasons for suspicion of these two. I had not seen this prior to making the statement they should be investigated. They need to be all over this group.

This is really disturbing to put it mildly.

I think the guy Ali is supposedly the guy who called the travel agency office and bought/arranged the tickets for them.

That's what I read in the article where they interviewed the travel agency/office lady. She said she knew a man named Ali (already knew him), and he called to get tickets for them.
Who is he connected to and how is it he can get fake passports stolen in other parts of the world?

I think the key to all of this is the passenger and crew. They need to involve CIA/Interpol, etc.. They need to pinpoint who on that plane are the hijackers. Then go backwards to see where they were, keep going back and back until they find the "source."

"When we printed the tickets, I realised that the passports were fake. My friend's passport belonged to Austria and my friend's friend had a passport belonging to Italy … He said his friend's mother had since contacted him and asked him to inform the airline about his forged passport.

Interesting! Mum want's airline to be informed of fake passport. I guess you can't get insurance money if you can't prove your son was on the plane. She should be right now cos they have his photo JMOO

I posted the article earlier, but the friend said initially his pal initially talked about staying only 2-3 days. He said it ended up being a week. But then I found this article and...wow...if this doesn't raise a few suspicions...there are so many things wrong with the friend's story.

The Last Day of Malaysia Airline Passengers With Stolen Passports

http://abcnews.go.com/US/day-malaysia-airline-passengers-stolen-passports/story?id=22852454

SS, what exactly about this article is "pinging your radar"?
I mean, what do you see that is wrong?
I read it, nothing JUMPED out at me except maybe the fact that 1)He went to high school with one guy, but not seen him in a couple years, yet he is only 18....the numbers seem off. 2) He says he did not know they had fake passports. Can you buy tickets for others without ID?
The phone conversations to me seem normal. The things they were carrying seem normal.
Honestly I think this guy helps political refugees get transport, and is now covering his own butt because this incident pulled him into the spotlight.

But I could be missing something, I am again in a Tomnod haze :crosseyed:

wow, never thought of that either ...

this has so many layers I don't think we'll ever get to the core

I am beginning to think the real issue is they don't know who all was on that plane. There was a breakdown in several areas of security with this flight (maybe all flights out of there).

If these two can get fake passports, others can get fake pilot credentials in order to grab a jump seat or two without being on any flight manifest. Also the cargo wasn't checked so another breach of security could be at play.

The Malaysians are showing all the cracks in their government when it comes to being lax on terrorists and people who are easily slipping in and out of their borders. It isn't playing well on the international stage. They have a lot to hide evidently.

What time EST Friday did our media beginning reporting that they lost contact?

With all the time zones I cant do it.

How many hours after they lifted off the runway did it take MAL authorites to break the story to media ??

Has a possible jump seat pilot already been discussed? A retired military guy was discussing it on Fox right now. He could have slithered in, with lax security, and therefore not been on a passenger list and in his seat before the Captain and First Officer boarded. Anyone??

OT

One reason I get so interested in any potential airline disaster is I had a very detailed dream once where I actually died in an airplane crash. It was one of 2 times I actually dreamed that I actually died.

It has been a fascinating subject for me because I was always told you cannot actually die in a dream and yet I had 2 different dreams in which....yes.....I actually died in the dream.

Both dreams were very profound because of how detailed they were.

The particular plane crash dream where I died was upon landing and it was a violent crash. The interesting thing about it was how detailed it was as the plane began to break apart on the landing and how fast stuff was flying into the passenger cabin. It was so real, it was incredible. Stuff was flying by so fast and at an incredible speed and as debris began to enter the cabin area I only lasted a second or two and that was it.
I woke up horrified and knew I had been killed in that dream.

The other dream was even worse and more vivid and I saw myself laying dead on the ground but it was a whole different other situation and had nothing to do with planes.

Anyway, thought I would share as I havent talked to too many people that have died in dreams.

No no, not offended at all. It was rather funny because I have been getting my self all worked up for the poor pilot with everyone ready to hang him for owning a simulator. So it was funny that you thought I was serious:floorlaugh:

I posted upthread how there are two different stories about when he discovered they had fake passports - the first has him finding out the evening before the flight when he helpfully printed their tickets out and 28 year-old was dyeing his hair in the bathroom ... the other has him finding out when the news story broke in the media - so which is it???

a whispered private phone conversation when you are a guest in someone's home seems suspect to me

one had a backpack/laptop - the other had a briefcase/laptop

who goes on an INTERNATIONAL trip without more luggage? the second guy didn't even have a bag with undies & socks in it??? bizarre to me
