Sounds as though David Cameron has made his decision to get tough on Russia ....

"The pursuit of sanctions, a hostile security council resolution and the offer of military assistance to the Ukraines are all forming part of the UK’s political attack, which will be rolled out in the coming days.

David Cameron declared his determination to move against Putin in a newspaper article in which he called on western states to ‘turn this moment of outrage into a moment of action’ against the Russian president."

the first time I saw that shot i thought samething, someof em looked right off the press odd after a 6 mile freefall

Not really. Most people would have stowed their passports safely in their handbag or backpack, which would have protected them as they fell. So, unless they came out of the bag, were caught in the parts of the aircraft which were burnt or landed in liquid of some sort, I don't see any logical reason why they ought to look battered.

IMO there is something fishy here

...........but switched to another flight to avoid having a stopover.

MAL 370 was direct right?

His final destination wasn't Beijing. If you read the article, he was on his way to Taiwan to participate in a race with his Malaysian team. So the stop over would have been in Beijing before continuing on a flight between Beijing and Taiwan.

I see someone answered this earlier - I am always a few hours behind due to the time zones!

The guards all vanished after the OSCE monitors left. Literally nobody is guarding the #MH17 bodies. Astonishing.

Ummm... the news live now on television is stating the rebels took 196 bodies, destination unknown- NOT the Ukranian government, who Berkut supposedly works for. I wonder if the bodies of the passengers are really on that train or ? really confusing

International investigators and Ukrainian officials said Sunday that that pro-Russia separatists forced emergency services to surrender the bodies of 196 victims of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 and loaded them onto refrigerated trains.

Emergency worker Alexander Pilyushny told the AP it took the rebels several hours on Saturday to take away the bodies.

"They are armed and we are not," Pilyushny said. "The militiamen came, put the bodies onto the trucks and took them away somewhere."

Neither Bystro nor Pilyushny could explain what happened to the 102 bodies that have not yet been found.

Government of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic stated that they had guaranteed security of international experts at the tragedy place. Meanwhile, Donetsk republican authorities urged Kiev to conclude an agreement on a ceasefire and provide conditions for the work of specialists at the airplane’s crash site.

Wall Street Journal:

The duty nurse at the morgue in Torez was surprised Thursday night when a man showed up in a Zhiguli with the injured and burned corpse of a young boy from the crash site. The man, who lived near where the plane debris landed, went to have a look after hearing the crash and came across the 5- to 7-year-old boy's body in a field. He said he decided to bring the boy to the local morgue out of fear that a dog would find it if he didn't do something, the duty nurse said.

"It was an absolute accident that he ended up here," the nurse said, standing outside the run-down hospital complex that looked almost abandoned. She had tears in her eyes as she described never imaging a war in her own backyard, let alone a downed civilian airliner.

The arrival of the little boy, whom she said was clearly not Ukrainian or Russian and dressed in a little green t-shirt pulled up around his neck, drove the pain home. "He was covered in blood, and his corpse had just been lying there," she said, introducing herself as Lyubov Nikolaevna, her name and patronymic. "It was this fresh kind of blood."

She said the man who brought the boy warned her that more bodies would likely be arriving, but no others showed up, as emergency workers took over control of the crash scene. She said she was heartbroken and wants the chaos to end. "We don't care who is president," she said. "We just want peace to cook borsht, bake pirozhki and bring up our kids."

I seriously do not understand what is going on here. What is the issue with handing over people's loved ones? Is it because they may contain pieces of Russian shrapnel from the missile? Are they to be used as a bargaining tool? You-leave-us-alone-and-we'll-return-the-victims.

I just don't get it. What the heck are they planning to do with 200 deceased victims? :waitasec:

And what about the remaining third of the victims? What has happened to them all? Could a missile have obliterated them all?

I wish I understood what was going on ... even if it is understanding (and not agreeing with) their convoluted way of thinking!

I was reading that MSM publication last night ... the ITAR-TASS News Agency. It is very filled with propaganda imo. It had an article about how the Malaysians were sending 2 Hercules planes to the crash site, and how the military was going to help them all they could, because the Malaysians were not blaming anyone, the Malaysians were going to do a real and thorough investigation. Not at all what Malaysian MSM says.

Before my coffee/donut/Walmart run, there was video of workers in the field- and it was stated they may have found a black box. I am wondering who has the missle motor if it has been found- it holds much information as to whose it was.

The United States has confirmed that Russia supplied sophisticated missile launchers to separatists in eastern Ukraine and that attempts were made to move them back across the Russian border after the Thursday shoot-down of a Malaysian jet liner, a U.S. official said Saturday.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/world...f07204-0f1c-11e4-b8e5-d0de80767fc2_story.html

There are so many satellites/radars in that area of the world, it almost has to be recorded. I worked on some of the components that were involved in the production of such things, (over 30 yrs ago) they know.

Russia is believed to have about 350 Buk missiles. They are capable of hitting targets at an altitude 72,000 feet. That’s far above the 33,000 foot altitude at which the Malaysian jet flew.

The Buk system can identify “friendly” military aircraft, but can not pick up the airliners’ transponder signals, an expert with the defense publication IHS Jane’s told the newspaper.

Jane’s says Buk missiles must be operated by trained crews.

http://nypost.com/2014/07/20/how-the-russians-led-the-missile-strike-that-downed-flight-mh17/

..........................................

However, a Buk launcher can also operate in stand-alone mode. Its built-in radar is normally used to track the target being engaged, but can be operated in a target-detection mode, allowing it to autonomously engage targets that were present in the radar's forward field of view.

Although it has its own identification friend or foe system, this is only able to establish whether the target being tracked is a friendly aircraft. It is the electronic equivalent of a sentry calling out: "Who goes there?". If there is no reply, all you know is that it is not one of your own combat aircraft. It would not give you a warning that you were tracking an airliner.

Operating Buk hardware would require a trained crew; with personnel who are currently trained operators or who learned how to operate the hardware while serving as conscripts.
