Trying to make sense of the senseless and I'm wondering about this theory:
JD did hurt, abuse and kill Ayla, likely at sometime before the 16th and it occurred during a time when NO ONE else was home and then he hid her body on his own. Keeping his secret and the truth to himself he then tells all the other people living there that she is healthy, she is fine but that he has caught on, possibly by a change in demeanor by TR, that he suspects she is preparing to take Ayla back so he has her hidden away with someone else to prevent the change of custody and child support payments. All of the other people in the house would then have some higher reason to protect him, rather than living with the guilt and danger to themselves of covering up a child murder. Could he have, ironically, told CR, ED and PD that TR is unfit and that Ayla will be in danger with her so they must protect the baby and that he's given instructions to the people taking care of her to turn her over ONLY if he goes to jail for some reason. This would account for them ALL failing LDT's because they would be lying BUT they wouldn't have the information necessary to give LE. They would also be more likely to be protective of JD thinking, however mistakenly, that he's the protector of Ayla and this in turn gives them some elevated sense of purpose. I can't see these people being loyal to anyone but themselves if they felt they could be putting themselves in serious jeopardy - forget them all being mothers, they would protect themselves and talk if they knew what really happened. Not because it's sick and twisted and so wrong but to cover their own *advertiser censored**es.
Or, they're all the dirtbags they appear to be and they all know exactly what happened but lack the moral character to tell the truth and maybe they see some backwards logic to their code among thieves.
