PinkiGreen...you can just set up a bare bones fb acct. It doesn't need to be your real name. That way you can access all the public information. I have had an old boyfriend stalking my for years so I don't want to set up anything with my real name.
 
This story is sooo scary. Teens don't think. If a facebook request pops up and they have at least one friend in common they will accept. You wouldn't believe the grown men I have kicked off my 16 yr olds facebook page.... It's sick!!!! I also will post on her page and mine warning parents about the adult men trying to befriend kids in our area. Her page is completely private. If they can just get one kid to accept then several will follow suit. Parents must monitor what their kids are doing. It's also important to alert other parents when you see something off on their kids fb page. It takes a village. Better to be the friend's snoopy mother. It's not the same world we grew up in. My daughter calls me the stalker mom. I have ATT family maps on their phones. I can track them at any time. She actually has a friend that doesn't like to hang out with her because I can track her. Just goes to show me she doesn't need to hang with her.

Praying for Nichole and her family. Hopefully they can track the Ip address he used to login to this fake fb account.

Snipped by me. This is so totally true. I've told my kids not to accept a request unless they know the person personally. When I went to check out their friends lists, sure enough, they had accepted requests because "they're a friend of a friend".

I talk to my kids a lot about being safe, but they still don't get that scary people look just like me and you.

Love the rest of your post too. Better to be snoopy mom than have to go id your child in a morgue somewhere. Can't prevent all bad things in the world, but at least you can prevent some of them.

No, this seems to be one of the things that police and family are keeping quiet about right now. I mean, yes the parents know according to posts on the group page, but it's not been publicly released.
 
Once again I'm going to plug the movie TRUST if you've not seen it. It is this exact scenario and while a fiction, you can imagine how many TRUE stories it has behind it.
Sick ******** targeting our little girls.... infuriating is a gross understatement !

Oh my, when I clicked on the daily mail pics, she reminds me of Sidney Nicole Randall.

Please don't let this case go cold like that one has. :(
