I live on a dirt road similar to Fish Lake Road.

I think it would be very easy for as stranger to drive there unnoticed. I'm not even sure what cars my neighbors drive, let alone anyone else in the neighborhood. Most halloweens I get no trick-or-treaters and have to eat all the candy myself. :)

On the one hand it would be easy to abduct or assault a person on a country road without being noticed. On the other hand, there is less traffic and less people so there are also fewer dangerous perverts out here. I think it is probably more safe to jog on such a country road, than in a park in town. (But it is still good to take precautions and carry pepper spray etc.)

How do you shoot a small female 4 times with a shot gun in the back by her spinal cord but she is still standing long enough to fall by a house.

So wouldn't she have been shot in front of that house 4 times?

Plus wouldn't she have immediately dropped after the 2nd shot to the back?

So this guy didn't hear 4 shotgun blasts in front of his house?

:(

I thought that four were fired at her but only one hit her and the man tending his pond did hear the shots.

I think only one shot actually hit her, Dex, so it’s possible she might have been able to get to that house. I wonder if there was a trail of blood indicating where she was shot and how far she went. Poor thing. :(

I could be dreaming this up Lil, but I seem to remember some report about the 911 call from the distressed man who found her on his lawn. I seem to remember him saying that *Ally* said she had been shot four times. I remember scratching my head wondering how Ally had the presence of mind to know that considering she was in the process of dying.

Agree. Some state once with 4 total dispersed. And some stated 4 total hit.

But maybe they feel that the spread of the buck shots could have been a cause to not exactly know if it was 1 hit close or various hits from far.

I know nothing about guns but wouldn't they be able to tell by where the most wounds where? It would be difficult to hit a moving target 4 times in around the same place, IMO.

In the video with this March 2018 article, the caller to 911 says he heard four shots. Also, in the text it mentions LE found four casing, but only one shot hit Ally.

New clues emerge in case of Metro Detroit nurse murdered while jogging

Michigan State Police say they found four shotgun casings at the scene. Only one of those shots hit Ally. She was shot in the back, presumably as she was trying to run away from her killer.

The man said she was face down and shot "a couple of times" and that he heard shots while he was at his pond. He also said he thought she got out of a car and was then shot. That's news to me and may be why LE keeps saying she knew her killer. I'm still baffled as to why she didn't have her phone with her. 10 miles on rural roads and anything could have happened including twisting her ankle, being bitten by a dog, etc.

I think shotgun blast pellets spreads further apart the further you are away from your target.

So all pellets may hit if you're stand directly in front of the person.

But if you are 30ft away then less pellets would hit. I think. But not 100% sure.

I think there was more than one caller to 9-1-1. The man who said she was 30 feet from his house said he heard "a couple of shots" while he was at the pond. The other caller sounds like a different man and it is typed on the screen that he said very clearly "I heard four shots."

Thanks. I wasn't sure if it was the same caller or not. I should have specified "a" caller to 911.

Thanks.
As far as the phone, I am an avid jogger and can't carry a phone when I jog; too cumbersome/heavy. However, I am now rethinking that.

One news report I saw said she was hit in the lower back and unfortunately a major artery was hit so she bled out.

I'm wondering what time Ally got home from work that morning and what time she usually ran. I was a long distance runner/walker and I always ran at the same time every day.

Thanks.

My daughter straps her phone to her arm. Please get one. I was an avid jogger and that was before cell phones. One time I was bitten on the back of the leg badly enough to need stitches and one time I broke my foot as I stepped off the road because of an oncoming car.
