IDK, I wonder if paying for "everything" includes bail? If they keep carrying on with antics like this they're going to need it.
 
This same thing happened to me! There is nothing you can do but keep driving and call 911, you have to remain calm, so you don't crash. I can hear the tremor in her voice and the confusion. This did happen to me with my girls in the carThere is no way she is making any of this up, no 15 minutes of fame. You can't know the feeling until it happens to you.
 
The 911 call sounds legit to me. She didn't sound "frantic," but I believe her.
 
Were they charged with anything? I don't think I saw that. I'm not sure what they could even charge them with
 
I just listened to the call and it sounds completely legit to me as well, she does sound scared, not "frantic" and hysterically crying, but certainly a little unnerved, and very thankful to the dispatcher. She wasn't even entirely certain that the passenger (MC) was a female, so I don't think she knew it was her at all.
 
how would you even begin to stage something like this? I believe the woman in the 911 call. Also, in the early reports the woman did not want her name released (too late now that media got their hands on the police reports)... thusly I hardly see this as a "claim to fame" or anything of that sort. ((repectfully all moo))

Now, as for Misty and her behavior... just goes to show that she does not put much thought into it nor has she any CONTROL over it. Very revealing in my opinion only.

They were in a different county, out of their jurisdiction on the Haleigh case. They had no authority to question her.
 
I guess I am not seeing what alleged behavior of Misty's was of concern

I'm not sure I'm understanding what some people are questioning here. For those of you saying you don't believe this, are you saying that you don't believe Donna and Misty did anything at all to this woman, and that the woman recognized Misty and made up the entire incident and called 911 with a big fat lie about the threats and following? I'm only just asking because I'm not sure what isn't being believed. Clearly it's a real 911 call, and clearly the cops showed up so the incident itself happened, but is it the allegation you aren't believing? Seems to me somebody would really REALLY be an idiot to make up such an allegation just to get 15 minutes of fame.

Not the car that called the 911 call, the car that was following her had the NC plates. Which is interesting, if the report says the woman is from Georgia.
 
I did not listen to the 911 tape until earlier this morning. I believe now that Courtney acted in the best possible way to ensure she kept her teeth in the front of her face.

I don't care whether they were eventually charged, or no. Even while on the phone, they once again went from following her to getting along side her, to getting in front of her. There is no reason in even giving the smallest license to flip off another driver, which apparently suits some people's criteria for OK behavior on a road that has thousands of cars passing by at high speeds, playing frogger with 2000 lbs of metal.

What do you believe Misty, the passenger, did that was wrong or illegal?
 
I dont know the laws in Florida, but in my state if someone was making verbal threats it could be considered an assault. Assault can be verbal as well as physical.
 
I think it's alleged the driver did that.

"Courtney Ballinger, 25, of Massachusetts, placed a 911 call about 11:15 a.m. to say she was being threatened by two women in a blue Dodge Caliber, a Seminole County sheriff’s report states. The encounter ended at Lake Mary Boulevard, where the eastbound Dodge pulled off the highway.

Ballinger told a dispatcher that she thought the driver had waved a gun at her and that both women made an obscene gesture toward her. The driver also threatened to beat her up, according to the 911 call."

Well.........let's see.......to tie that into this case, some people thought that Tommy yelling at Ronald was enough of a verbal assault to justify Ronald punching the crud outta Tommy............
