Edit: I noticed my previous post had a request to add a link to the info I had about the PC. I know the info has already been reported widely now but I wanted to honor that request anyway. Not sure that makes much difference. I have a few friends that you would call goth and they are great people. I only post it as possibly significant, due to the possibility that Elizabeth's killing was maybe supposed to be some kind of ritual???

Does anyone else find it hard to believe that a 15 year old was able to do this all on her own? The reports say the body was very well concealed and that searchers had been in this area multiple times and didn't see anything.

<sigh>I understand the no rumor thread but it is frustrating.this is one of those cases that has 'grabbed' me so Im anxious for info.........hopefully the questions I have will be answered at the presser(trying to take Nurse' lead & be positive!).

I read that Ed Smart will be holding a vigil tonight for Somer & Elizabeth in Tampa at the National Amber Alert Symposium. I thought it was a nice gesture. Saw this on Utah Amber Alert's twitter page.

Exactly, It was said that Elizabeth left the friends at 6:15, that her mom called LE at 7:00. 45 minutes! That is why I believe that she did plan this, not that Elizabeth was the target, or maybe she was. I would have to believe that mom called Elizabeth's cellphone and knowing that she had left the friends and was not home she then called LE. LE said at one time that they think she was killed about the time they were called. My mind keeps going back to the Farmville Va killings. I hate to say "Thrill Kill" but that is what I feel at this time. I just can't imagine. jmo

Prenger is where AB is being held. It is right across the street from the High School.

The other link you posted is for Putnam Co Florida and has nothing to do with this case (I was looking for Misty Croslin's name there though- no luck!)

The Cole County Sheriff department was able to ping Elizabeth's cell phone Wednesday night after she disappeared. It was determined that her location then was in woods near her residence. The woods were then searched with thermal imaging radar and an on foot search was also done. I checked out AB's Facebook, it's private but there's a pic.. she's definitely more "emo" than "goth"... so I wouldn't think it could have been a ritual or sacrifice at all.

Someone very close to me was a Mormon at one time and he uses the following terms interchangeably:

LDS
Mormon Church
Church of Latter Day Saints

He rarely uses the whole The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Also, as a genealogy who goes to an LDS church often to research, I've never used the entire wording either. It's LDS or Church of Latter Day Saints or, most often The LDS Church.

Still Bill was called a preacher. There are no preachers in the LDS church.

I talked to my 18 year old last night and I told him AB was "emo", not "goth". She looked "emo" from the pics I've seen of her and that's why I coined her that way. I don't know where the line is between the two?

Anyway, he told me he wasn't surprised at all. Scary, isn't it?
