Nope not scared of the police at all.

Because of the lawsuit, if LE tries to keep order, the Ferguson Five will become the Ferguson Fifty and they can demand more $$$$$

This case is alllllllll about the benjamins IMO

Should this case have been swept under the rug? Should the coroner have filled out "manner of death" as unknown as opposed to "homicide"?? Because he/she filled in "homicide" it was going to wind up at the Grand Jury, especially because it involved a police officer. It seems to me that a lot of people here are absolutely outraged that the homicide is even being investigated. Who was supposed to determine Justification and call it another unfortunate day? We have a legal process, and as muddled as it seems, it's all we have to provide some rationality in dealing with the question of whether a crime was committed or not. Without it, there is vigilantism and chaos. Let the process play out. And let the facts reveal the closest to the truth of the story as we will ever know. I personally, am not emotionally invested in this story. I just want to know what facts will reveal....and move onto the next one coming down the pike. JMO

Roughly 4 days after this incident an assistant to the family of MB set up a "Michael Brown Memorial Fund" Anything negative reported about MB was dismissed by the same attorneys as an attempt to smear Michaels' "Legacy". How do you at barely 18 have a Legacy? IMO there is much more at play than Justice for Michael Brown here. And every time the family shows at these rallys and protests, it juices the fund that much more.

It was the Ferguson Market not the Quik Trip.
IMO

It seems really odd to me for a few reasons...

- No really solid witnesses, among all the people who claim to have "seen it happen", (theory: People who know what happened have given their statements and see no reason to take it public, possibly they are afraid of retribution within their community. (Note, the QuikTrip that had given the cops the video was burnt to the ground)

- People refused to give the A clean Police Officer the benefit of the doubt, I find it odd people are demanding the FBI be brought in, Lots of people are shot by the police after committing a crime. (assault of a police officer) as I understand it he was within the law in what he did, even though it makes me uncomfortable to admit that fact.

- The facts for a shooting with some many witnesses seem to be very difficult to determine, again even though there were so many witnesses.

Its very odd

So, you think it's possible that MB was shot once while he was facing away, then he turned around and was shot several more times?

Think about this, if you will. IF what you believe is true, what did Officer Wilson have against MB's right arm? If MB was facing away from OW, MB's right arm would have been on OW's right.
Once he turned around, MB's right arm would have been on OW's left. So, you're saying that OW shot at MB's right first and once he turned around, he re-aimed and shot left?

It doesn't make any sense.

^^^^^ that!

Here is what I'd like to know, why was MB running from a police officer that he just got in a scuffle with? Why didn't he surrender AFTER the first shot was fired?

Fight or flight response perhaps? My natural response would most certainly be to flee from an officer whom I had just had an altercation with, in which a shot was fired. Not that I'd likely get into such a situation, but if I did I wouldn't be sticking around and surrendering, I would be scared for my life!

The chief was admittedly just repeating OW's claims, as no forensic tests would be back till after his statements were made. IIRC, he also said the gun went off, but did not describe a struggle for control of the gun. It was also very unclear if he was saying this happened partially or completely in the car.
It was pretty vague, IMHO. Not reading a lot into it, as the Chief had no physical evidence and hadn't spoken to key witnesses yet.

What makes you think they had no physical evidence? There was immediate physical evidence. They even had the projectory of the bullet shot from the car.

From your link

10 a.m. – Michael Brown, 18, was unarmed, St. Louis County Police Chief Joe Belmar says in a news conference. Belmar says Brown physically assaulted the officer, and during a struggle between the two, Brown reached for the officer's gun. One shot was fired in the car followed by other gunshots outside of the car.

And you too would very likely be dead

Here we go again. And now since there is this huge lawsuit, the cops are supposed to sit on their hands tonight, if the peaceful protestors start throwing molotovs and looting?

I have nothing but respect for them...trying just to do their damn job.
If I were an officer there, I'd find another job!

It's also COMPLETELY irrelevant to the case, IMO.

Alternative schools are a godsend for teachers who've had to deal with disruptive, incorrigible students and finally get to teach in peace when they're gone. Alternatives schools are also a blessing for students incapable of following the rules in a normal school situation, offering a second chance for any student willing to accept it. That MB changed high schools 4 times is very relevant to me when assessing his degree of impulse control and emotional stability imo.

I have finally come to the conclusion that PROOF for some on either side of this debated shooting will never exist unless it is video evidence and folks we are not going to see video of the "serious altercation" at the car or the actual shooting or all that occurred or did not occur start to finish. And even if video did surface (at the same time monkeys fly from my butt) there will be those who argue its authenticity because it does not support their POV.

The circular debate about whether there was a punch or the injuries sustained therefrom or if there was a struggle for the gun or who initiated it will never end because unless someone shows video of all of those things happening, in the minds of some nothing less will suffice as PROOF.

Well that is not going to be forthcoming and everyone feels how they feel about this case and despite folks claiming they have an open mind and are waiting for evidence to come to light it is clear that even if and when it does (either way, you understand, either side of this topic) it will still be disputed by those who have already decided what occurred and nothing will be swaying that decision. What folks on both sides of this issue who have already dug in deeply to their POV mean when they say they are waiting for evidence to decide mean with that statement is that they are waiting for evidence to come to light which supports what they have already decided and if it does not it will not be considered evidence.

Done debating, done finding links to back my own POV because it is quite frankly pointless. I will continue to check for news and updates but stick a fork in me. I am done.

The canvassers have reached what they say is McCulloch's home. No one answered the door. They're now leaving the flyers at his door.
