Sorry to keep posting single comments: reading Facebook and the group Missouri Citizen Militia has stated that Westboro Baptist Church will be protesting her candle light vigil Saturday at 8:00 at Commercial and Campbell and the group plans to be there.

BACA, Bikers Against Child Abuse will be there, as well. Fred Phelps will know he is not welcome there.

Reading the information in the search warrant documents about child *advertiser censored* being found in this man's home is making me physically sick to my stomach knowing that this man was alone with children every day for the past 16 years.

In reading the search warrant, I think there's a high probability there was a sexual assault. Please see below.

I know this group is crazy… and I've often heard about them protesting at soldier's funerals… and I assumed that they were protesting the war or something.

What on earth would they claim to be protesting in a situation like this?

They are whack jobs who enjoy causing misery to others in shocking cases and will no doubt claim that Hailey's death is a punishment from God for either her family's sins or societal sin due to tolerance for homosexuality,unwed motherhood etc Blah blah Blah

Well, after reading all four pages of "Grounds For Issuance" (last four pages of that first warrant link), I can see why he's not wasting money on attys. Not only the preponderance of damning evidence in that long inventory list (blood-stained articles, bleach bottles, media & equipment, etc.--from multiple rooms) but this:

"Det. Shipley observed what appeared to be blood on Craig's t-shirt during the interview."

I can only imagine he's pleading 'not guilty' b/c it's standard at this stage, he just got the court-appointed atty, and he hasn't had time to confer much with him yet. He's toast.

The sad thing is that there has to be a memorial fund to help pay for Hailey's funeral. Their expenses should be covered. IMHO

I was going to say that when I posted about the attorney, but I got to thinking a little more about it and decided maybe not.

IMO that's dirty money. I wouldn't want one penny from that man. What I would want to see is for him to be put to death, and not to want to waste another dollar of taxpayer money defending that .

If anything...maybe he could sign the money over to his parents who could donate a nice chunk to a memorial or something like that, which IMO would be really nice. That way the money could still be spent on her MEMORY but not something that the family would necessarily "profit" from...KWIM?

JMO of course...I couldn't live day to day on that money, it's blood money.

I don't think they use logic when deciding when/where to protest. Seems to me the choose the most inappropriate and offensive deaths to protest. They do it for attention and to piss people off. Protesting the funeral of a child who was murdered is for attention.

They show up with their graphic and disturbing signs saying "GOD hates *advertiser censored*" quoting scriptures that have nothing to do with homosexuality and drawings of men having sex on their protest signs. Seriously disgusting.

They'll figure that out once they get there. Maybe. The important thing is the CAMERAS, ya know?

(IMO, the less people notice them--the less we even talk about them in this thread--the better. Why perpetuate the myth that their presence means anything at all to anybody? Especially concerning this case.)

What a terrible heartbreaking case this is, as are all child murders are of course.
It is very similar in many ways to the April Jones case which I followed very closely as I myself was brought up in a small Welsh village, similar to April, and all the kids in the village were always out and about playing even from a very young age.
Apart from the fact that Mark Bridger knew April, this case is very similar in the way that Bridger had no previous form relating to child assault, kidnapping or anything like that, he was in his mid forties when committing the heinous crime of kidnapping and murdering little April. He was seen by witnesses and he knew it but still continued to take April in his vehicle then assault and murder her. Child *advertiser censored* was found on his computer. He also pleaded not guilty to the crime.
I believe that it is unusual for men to suddenly start to commit this sort of crime at this relatively late stage of life, I wonder what made them change, do you think that when they start to look at child *advertiser censored* (a strange thing to do in any event) that it somehow changes their brain/mentality ?

I wanted to bold the "THE LESS WE TALK ABOUT THEM IN THIS THREAD" part. I agree. This is not about them and I am reminded of the old adage about any any press (even bad press) being good press for them.

I don't believe this happened late in life. I believe it's been a lifelong illness and he has not yet been caught up until this point. I don't have any clinical experience with pedophiles but I don't believe a normal brain ever looks at a pornographic image of a child and then wants to see more whether it's right away or weeks or years down the road.

Westboro Church is a family group of lunatics that believe all horrible tragedies are not tragedies but are punishments from God directly caused by society's acceptance of homosexuality.
