I don't think poor Antoinetta has enough coverage to fill a whole thread. I've posted every article that I've been able to find with information about her and her disappearance in this thread, but it's very little. The DC media (where she was last seen, i believe) should be flogged for their failure to cover her disappearance more than they have. One small blurb, and that's it that I have seen. Her mother has been quoted in a few articles, and she is just devastated. No one seems to have a heart enough to giver her more airtime or print space. Although there's not been much about poor little Jadon, either, when it comes down to it, but at least the NC press has been picking up the major developments on his case, and his mother's.

So I'd go ahead and add Antoinettas name to this thread with Jadons name, since their disappearances are so intertwined, and neither poor soul seems to get enough coverage on their own. :(

U.S. court documents claim that investigators found a former sect member who told them McKoy and the boy had been killed and provided graphic details of the slayings.

...The former sect member, who was not identified in documents, said Moses became 'extremely angry' at the boy in October, grabbed a gun and began pacing around the house.

Then Moses called the boy to the basement, and the former member said he heard 'loud music and the sound of a gunshot,' according to documents.

The ex-member said he saw Moses wrap the body and put it in a suitcase in the attic.

A few days later, when the 'body began to stink,' Moses disposed of the suitcase, the documents said.

The warrants also said Moses gave Sisk a gun and told her to shoot a 28-year-old woman, which she did. Family members said that woman, Antoinetta McKoy, 28, disappeared.

Authorities back at Durham home of missing child, woman

Authorities are back at a Durham home Monday where a missing 6-year-old boy and a woman were last seen.

NBC-17 crews on scene say Durham Police and the department's CSI unit are at the home on Pear Tree Lane.

Kammie Michael, spokeswoman for the Durham Police, say the department has nothing new to release on the case. Investigators on scene declined to say anything about today's activity at the house.

Police searched the home several times in recent weeks for evidence in the case, and they also searched some nearby woods last month.

Investigators found a bullet, shell casing and evidence of human blood inside the house, according to the search warrant. They also found evidence of "overt cleaning" in part of the home.

Some of the evidence was sent to an FBI lab for analysis, the warrant states.

Two other search warrants released Tuesday indicate that police have searched several online sites for evidence in the case.

According to one, investigators gained access to the MySpace pages of Sisk and Moses. Investigators sought detailed information on their accounts, including the contents of private messages sent or received since the beginning of January and any private blogs or journals.

The second search warrant shows police went through Google to access Moses' account with YouTube to see videos he had posted that investigators believe included information relevant to the case.

The YouTube account is no longer accessible, although the two MySpace pages are still active online.

Durham police arrested suspected cult leader Pete Moses and Vania Sisk, the mother of a missing Durham boy, Tuesday evening.

Officers raided a house
on Dunstan Avenue around 9 p.m. Several other men and women were taken from the home and placed into police custody.

Moses, 27, faces numerous charges including one count of second-degree kidnapping, one count of assault by pointing a gun, one count of assault on a female, one count of communicating threats and failure to appear in court on earlier charges.

Suspected cult leader, mother of missing boy appears in court

Peter Moses, Jr., a suspected cult leader and Vania Sisk, the mother of a missing 6-year-old boy made their first court appearance Wednesday in Durham.

“I really think (Jadon) is somewhere in some odd location… Wherever they took him they thought about the location first. They probably… hid him to make sure (police) don’t find his body and they probably did the same with Antoinetta McKoy,” said Jadon’s father, Jamiel Higganbothan.

An informant previously told authorities that Moses ordered Sisk to shoot Antoinetta McKoy. Jamiel Higganbothan says he has not been in contact with Sisk but believes the informant’s allegations.

“If you are with someone who killed your child why wouldn’t you pull the trigger? You might as well pull the trigger too. It wouldn’t shock me if she pulled the trigger on Antoinetta McKoy. As a matter of fact, I think she did,” said Jamiel Higganbothan.

:( I cant imagine what this poor man is going through, knowing that the mother of his child had some kind of involvement in his death, and is capable of killing someone else as well.

So I see no murder charges, at least yet. Wonder if this means that the evidence found at the house isnt enough to prove murder, but enough to prove assault? I'm thankful though that they've arrested these two on something, before they could flee again.

Hoping they find Jadon and Antoinetta soon. It's been so long, their families deserve the peace of being able to lay them to rest properly. :sigh:

A Judge today ordered Peter Lucas Moses Jr., 27, held on $50,000 bond on assault and kidnapping charges.

Those charges are related to one of Moses' live-in girlfriends whom Moses allegedly held captive from February 2009 to February 2011.

The district attorney's office had argued for a $100,000 bond because Moses is suspected of killing 5-year-old Jadon Higganbotham, according to warrants.

DURHAM -- A grand jury has indicted Peter Lucas Moses Jr. on kidnapping and assault charges.

Moses, 27, is being held in jail under $50,000 bond on charges that he hit a woman identified in court records as "ZT," threatened her with a semiautomatic handgun and held her captive from February 2009 to February 2011.

Neither McKoy's nor the boy's body has been found, which prosecutors have suggested is holding up murder charges.

Where are you, Jadon and Antoinetta? :(

Arrests offer glimpse of sect

Peter Lucas Moses Jr. collected a cast of women over the past six years, rekindling a high school flame and romancing others he met in Durham and as far away as Colorado.

With them, he patched together what some would call a sordid family. He fathered children with the women who could have them and kept his growing brood under lock and key. The women pulled farther and farther away from their own families and into Moses' grasp, relatives of the women said.

For five years, Moses, 27, and a handful of women and their children bounced from apartment to apartment in Durham and Colorado, chased by eviction notices or fear of getting in trouble with police.

The latest search warrants, which seek DNA samples from LH, 25, and LS, no age available, also tie them to McKoy's disappearance.

Both women lived with Moses, Sisk and McKoy in the Pear Tree Lane home, according to the warrant.

H and S haven't been charged in the case either and weren't in custody Tuesday.
