‘Desperate’ search for kidnapped NC teen enters day 6
In an update to the case released on Saturday, FBI representatives and investigators reported that they will continue to canvass the area near where the SUV had been found on Thursday.

FBI Supervisory Resident Agent Andy Delarocha urged local residents to step forward if they had any information that could potentially assist the case moving forward.

“Someone knows this man and we need you to call us. Maybe you recognize the way he walks, his mannerisms, or maybe he will recognize himself on TV. The public was critical in the recovery of the SUV, now we need you to come through again for us. Who is the man on the video?”

Surveillance video released Thursday shows what appears to be a man wearing light colored shoes, a light-colored shirt, and a hoodie walking south on Lambeth Street, then turning North on Highway 41/Elizabethtown Highway towards the Rosewood Mobile Home Park.

The FBI released additional angles of the surveillance video Friday.

Church community feels loss of missing Hania Aguilar :: WRAL.com
In the time of sadness and pain for a St. Andrews Catholic Church family in Red Springs, prayer can be like a universal language, a source of refuge and strength.

She and her family are said to be regulars at a weekly prayer service Fridays at the church. Aguilar is also a member of the confirmation class that meets Wednesdays.

Churchgoers on Friday said they felt her absence and missed her presence.

“Hearing from her classmates on Wednesday that it’s not the same without her, it’s hurting them,” parishioner RA said.

During a news conference on Friday, Lumberton Police Chief Michael McNeill said it breaks his heart that they have not found Hania yet.

He pleaded for help from neighbors.

"Now, we're asking anyone who lives within a mile of Quincey Drive to check your own property. Check your outsheds, your outbuildings. You know them better than we do," he said.

FBI releases new pictures of Hania Aguilar, the kidnapped North Carolina teen at center of Amber Alert
The FBI has released new pictures of a North Carolina teenager who was abducted outside her home, and it is urging people to take a close look at surveillance video it says shows a suspect.

It said the man, wearing light-colored shoes, a light-colored shirt, and a hoodie, was walking south on Lambert Street, then turned north on North Carolina Highway 41/Elizabethtown Highway toward the mobile home park.

“Someone knows this man, and we need you to call us,” FBI supervisory resident agent Andy de la Rocha said Friday. “Maybe you recognize the way he walks, his mannerisms, or maybe he will recognize himself on TV.”

“The public was critical in the recovery of the SUV. Now we need you to come through again for us. Who is the man on the video?” he asked.

Lumberton woman knows first hand the pain of an abducted child’s mother
Samantha Lovette said she knows first hand the pain the mother of 13-year-old Hania Noelia Aguilar is going through because she feels that same pain. Lovette’s daughter Abby Lynn Patterson disappeared back on Sept. 5, 2017 and there are still no clues as to what happened to her. Patterson’s disappearance gained national attention, just like that of Hania’s.

$20,000 reward in search for missing North Carolina 13-year-old Hania Noelia Aguilar
The state of North Carolina is offering up to a $5,000 reward in the desperate search for kidnapped 13-year-old Hania Noelia Aguilar, bringing the total possible reward to $20,000.

North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper announced the additional reward Friday, asking for information that leads investigators to Hania's location.

Investigators are trying to track down a man who is seen in surveillance footage walking in the neighborhood Monday morning, around the time Hania was abducted. The three videos, which the FBI released earlier this week, show the unidentified man wearing light-colored shoes, a light-colored shirt and a hoodie.

The man is not considered a suspect or person of interest at this time. Rather, he's someone authorities "want to speak with" who may be able to help investigators narrow down a timeline of Hania's kidnapping, according to FBI Supervisor Andy de la Rocha.

Active searches continue for abducted Lumberton teen Hania Aguilar
Saturday, investigators searched parts of Lumberton hoping to get closer to finding a 13-year-old girl who was kidnapped nearly a week ago.

All week, CH has seen investigators throughout his neighborhood looking for Aguilar. "When it hits home like this, it's kind of scary," CH said. He lives near Quincey Drive, where the stolen SUV was later found.

Since then, he's been re-tracing his steps hoping to help investigators. "I was trying to run back through (and) get a timeline," CH said. "I drive by that spot where the vehicle was found every day on the way to work."

CH's neighbor, TC, has looked through days of footage from his security cameras to try and help out. "Literally, they found this vehicle 1,000 yards from my back door," TC said. "I just hope that we find her alive, and I hope we find her sooner rather than later."

Authorities have no reason to think Hania knew her abductor, they said Wednesday afternoon. The girl's family is cooperating with the investigation, they said.

Hania Aguilar: Abducted Teen Remains Missing as SUV Is Discovered in North Carolina Town Marred by Violence

CRIME
12:19 PM PST, November 8, 2018 - CAITLIN NOLAN

Hania is described as a happy girl who loves to cook and laugh. She hopes to one day become a Marine to help people, her mother said.

Hania’s abduction came one day after about 60 people gathered to honor their loved ones who were killed, found dead or went missing from Lumberton and Pembroke, neighboring communities within Robeson County.

“We are in this fight together as a whole county,” Shelia Price told InsideEdition.com.

Price’s daughter, Rhonda Jones, was one of three women who were found dead within a four-block radius between April 18 and June 3, 2017. The bodies of Jones, 36, and Kristin “Christina” Bennett, 32, were found dead 50 yards apart from each other on the same day, while Megan Oxendine, 28, was found about two city blocks away. Her death came several weeks after she had spoken on the news about Jones’ death. The circumstances behind their deaths remain unknown. (Emphasis added).

The search for Hania continues Monday as investigators from multiple agencies seek to talk to all the residents who live in Hania’s neighborhood and to neighbors who live on the road where SUV used in the kidnapping was found.

In addition to Lumberton police and the FBI, personnel from the Moore County Sheriff’s Office and Fort Bragg Military Police Investigations are trying to talk to everyone who lives in the Rosewood Mobile Home Park, Hania’s neighborhood, and Quincey Drive, the road where the stolen 2002-2003 Ford Expedition was found Thursday morning.

These residents may have information that could help find Hania, according to the FBI.
