Just playing catch up from being out of town for a few days and WOAH! Mr. Car Detailer was arrested!!
I agree with others, that smirk sends chills through me. It saddens me to think of what kind of childhood this man must've had to be capable of doing something like this to a young, vibrant, inspirational woman. After seeing his mother assault the media crews and his sister's replies on twitter, it's heartbreaking to think that this was his example in life. The social worker in me cringes.

Poor poor Maggie. My heart just breaks for her family as they slowly learn all of these details. It is sickening to think this man has done this two other times, strangulation and sexual assault (I'm gonna put my money on his past and go ahead and say it's likely rape was also involved in this case as well). What a screwed up system we have. My heart breaks for the other two victims as well. IMO, I think we will learn that he had watched Maggie for quite some time and probably fantasized, learned her routine, followed her on Twitter, learned that she left the door unlocked, figured out when the boyfriend would be in town, etc, and decided to make his move to act on those fantasies. It sounds like she put up quite a fight, and sadly met her demise at his hands.

From what I read on Twitter. MD had a friend in town a couple of days prior to her murder. Not to mention the fact there was a small window of time that she was likely home before going to dinner. He would have had to been watching or got "lucky" to find her alone at that exact time and I doubt that.
If you look back on her planner that she posted a picture of for the month of May she was supposed to be traveling the weekend he followed her on Twitter and the day he replied to her tweet that I posted. I wonder if she may have ran into him at some point that weekend (at the apt complex) since he openly tweeted it and replied to her? Maybe a small casual conversation? Police say they didn't have a relationship but does that means she never met him prior to her murder? IDK just not getting a solid feeling either way. I wonder what her friends know about him if anything at all.

ETA: Maybe this is the guy the neighbor was confused by. He has braids even if they are pulled back, right? Obviously a neighbor not paying attention could *think* she/he saw MD with SO when it was a friend and possibly this guy? Sadly, I don't think MD realized the evil that walks this planet. She was obviously a sweet, caring, trustworthy woman not realizing that there are very bad people out there. That is IMO of course, I didn't know her personally.

The statement by LE sz neighbor she was worried about moved shortly after her murder he was intv and not a suspect. But who is dis guy in da pic? Sure looks like suspect arrested....to me.

Un.flippin.believable. This all could and should have been prevented. I'm so discouraged by all the recent failures of the NC "justice" system. Too many bad guys are getting away with murder, literally. Silently screaming.

After Odom’s appearance, Sharman Odom’s mother tried to knock the microphones out of the hands of a Channel 9 reporter and assaulted two photographers, the station reported.

The Channel 9 reporter and photographer were not injured, but another photographer received a cut on his face, WSOC-TV reported. Newton police said Odom’s mother will face three assault charges, according to Channel 9.

Why didn't the cop cuff her right then? He witnessed the attacks and let her drive away. I personally think he was afraid of her. She was downright frightening.

Curious what charges he is facing in addition to murder...

Apparently there won't be a burglary or larceny change, since LE says they didn't find anything belonging to MD in his apt; certainly M1; and they are waiting on the rape kit analysis... so maybe rape, but we don't know yet.

If it does turn out to be rape, then the Death Penalty may be a consideration...
