I've been thinking so much about this young lady and my initial gut instinct was like some of you.....maybe someone was laying in wait in her van that morning. I drive a van myself and I always make the habit of walking around the back to enter the driver side door. It just lets me glance in all 2 rows behind the driver's seat. At night I bump the automatic lock to have the lights come on before I enter the van (that way I can still see both rows).

To me van seats seem higher in the back and if it was a standard row seat Vs. captain seats...it would be really easy to hide without her knowing until it's too late.

I hope she is found very soon. She is so young and such a beautiful young lady. Sounded like she was grounded and just a good egg. That's way I can't just see her up and walking away on her own. This just reminds me of the Holly Bobo case so much.

If she were going to stay in NC I wonder where she would go? What is Charlotte like? What about the Red Hill area? Any information would be appreciated, locals or otherwise.

Charlotte is big. I grew up just outside of the city. No clue where Red Hill is located. I'm not sure why she would stay in NC- if she ran off I'd assume it was to go back home to TX. No telling where she is at or where she would go in NC unless she has friends in some other town??

Still catching up, not sure if this has been posted yet, article from Feb 12, has some photos from the search (I don''t recall seeing these). Note to self to post images tomorrow if someone hasn't already / Sorry if already posted!

Lovin your commitment margarita25 on this case :cheer:

Where are you Sara, just pick up the phone if your safe which i'm pretty sure she would if she could going by how i see her, i don't know this case worries me hoping something comes from the new lead from the last search.

I wonder if Zackary Locklear has been seen since February 4th.

He is the 18-year-old who's now been identified as the suspect who killed two people (Tanishia Graham and Izaak Bridges) near Hope Mills, NC on January 11th. One of the reasons I've brought this up is that he is believed to be in Robeson County. There are several articles out there describing the shooting and etc, but here's the latest one in The Robesonian http://www.robesonian.com/news/news/151983856/County-teen-named-suspect-in-murder-of-2
"According to Sheriff Earl “Moose” Butler’s Facebook page, Locklear is considered “armed and dangerous and should not be approached.”"

Good find.

There are A LOT of people in the Lumbee community with that last name, many of whom are known to Sara according to her social media. Interesting.

Locklear is a common Lumbee name,I would not read too much into it.Heather Locklear is part Lumbee.

Posting for reference, didn't see this picture, sorry if its already been posted (will also go back upstream and link the search photos I referenced earlier).

Also from Feb 12 Robesonian article:

Paraphrasing from link, the detective on the case says his phone does not stop ringing with calls about Sara.

Also stated is that "the Sheriff's office is working with the FBI to pursue out of state leads", and working with law enforcement in Texas where Sara had been living until About six months ago.

Article also states "that any items that could aid the investigation in any way were flagged with yellow tape And were collected by deputies for cataloguing and dna testing." (Also, see preceding paragraph in article "On Wednesday...disappearance." Note "most cases finding the items were there long before Sara's disappearance")

It has been mentioned upstream that Robeson County is a high crime area. Here's an article from September 2013 talking more about this, sorry if it has already been posted:

"Lumberton - Once again, the most dangerous place in North Carolina is a rural county with a long history if violence. Robeson county, where interstate 95 crosses the state line into South Carolina, had the highest violent crime rate in the state last year."

"...a lot of guns, a lot of drugs..."

"...VPoint on NC 41..."

*this article is very troubling, imo.

Eta: Not only so much crime in general which is troubling, but if her dad was LE, this article sheds light imo on how he could really be a target in a county with a lot of criminal activity...really wondering more about the revenge aspect now... jmo

Eta: Not only revenge, but remember the cheerleading mom case from Channelview TX many years ago? The plot was to commit a murder so that the family would be so distraught and distracted from the cheerleading contest at hand, iirc.

I wonder if her dad was working any cases specifically relating to major drug running?

I wonder if she has been transported over the state line into South Carolina? Moo

It's been nearly 3 weeks by now, I really think if she ran away she'd have said something by now, which worries me. I can understand flying under the radar for a week or two while you get settled and figure out what to say to your parents, but at her age, I can't think of many friends that age who could support another adult for three weeks. Coupled with the high crime rate in that area, I'm extremely worried for her.

Me too. I'm extra worried for her now after reading the article on post #631

(Local drug cartel? Could a group of persons be responsible for her disappearance? This possibly having to do with her dad being a cop has jumped to the top of the list of options, imo, more so than a sexually motivated crime by a predator.)

I wonder about gambling at these reservations? Might some sort of outstanding debt owed by someone in her circle somehow be at play here?

Lumbees have no gambling or casinos.
I find it hard to believe that Roebeson Co. has more crime than Fayetteville(Fayettenam)

I took my son to the orthodontist today, and it reminded me of Sara's braces. Orthodontic care is very expensive. Why would she walk away, and not know when or how she could receive the routine adjustments it requires? Most teens cannot wait to have them removed, and it can be done without a dentist, but it's not pleasant, and bonding material needs to be polished off. (Personal experience)

Keep going, Margarita! You're on a roll. Lots of great ideas!!

I've been following this case and had the very same thought early on. As soon as I saw "braces" I thought, there's no way she's missing voluntarily. Mostly due to getting the impression from all I've read, she's a pretty sharp girl and would know how much it costs to maintain braces.
