I just don't understand this....at all. Why would they let him be there? Yes, if they came across something---like identifying jewelry, etc he could be nearby (Delta) in order to say yes or no, but to be at the actual site makes absolutely no sense to me. We know there was a control issue going on between the Coxes and Powells, but what psychological advantage would be gained by LE if this was being played out?
Someone chime in please, because I'm' just not getting this....... ????????

This poor man has had his life turned upside down. It's said one is not supposed to bury their child; imagine having to wait years to even know what happened to your child. If he needs to be there then that is what he needs to do. I wouldn't think they would have him standing at the excavation site but rather at a distance away. If her remains were found, LE are trained to deliver this info to family/parents.
I have so much respect for both Mr and Mrs Cox; their patience and faith is a lesson for us all.
