Re: LE not releasing video of Abby's last documented moments...

Are they really onto a hot lead or just not wanting to look bad because they haven't found any?

What's the harm in getting the public involved? Neighbors watching neighbors is good detective work sometimes.

Actually it was LE asking if anyone knew someone who wore a cross like the one found with Jessica's remains that made him confess to his mother. That cross was unique and all over the news. :moo::moo::moo:

But he would have been caught eventually as he had provided a DNA sample a few days prior. :twocents:

Yes, his sentencing hearing has been going on all day. Listening on live stream. They said he was perfectly fine, gave the DNA sample, still perfectly fine, then news release came out about Kettner jogger, and he knew his DNA was going to match the jogger and Jessica. He had a panic attack and extreme anxiety and confessed to his mother the next day after the news release.

Here's Jessica Ridgeway's thread where we're following the hearing:

I know it's easy to see similarities and with Sigg's sentencing beginning today, even easier to focus on him and Jessica but let's please stay focused on Abby in this thread...

I would love to know what time in the afternoon that it gets dark now.

Police still running down leads in Hernandez case

Published Date: Monday, 18 November 2013 05:18

Conway Police Lt. Chris Perley said Monday that investigators continue to run down the leads that come in to his agency and the FBI tip line 1-800-CALL-FBI. Police only share information about the case with the public when it makes sense to do so, said Perley.
"We don't comment on ongoing investigations unless there is a piece of information that we think would help protect the public or would generate enough assistance that it would solve the case," said Perley.

All we can do is trust in those responsible for finding out what happened to Abby. I have gone through every single emotion wanting something...anything.

But the bottom line is this. Men and women in Law Enforcement are trained and programed to handle just this kind of missing girl cases. So we must believe that everything they do is in Abby and her family's best interests.

Time marches slowly while we wait to hear anything...any news at all.

But patience being the key word right now.

Has the snow come to stay in North Conway yet?

I check the camera up at LL Cote's daily. Lets you know the weather there.

Reading a little further down they talk about the students and how they are all dealing with Missing Abby. They say to trust the police to do everything in their power to bring Abby home safely.

I must say it still sounds like she is just...missing. But to me...it's been too long. Way too long for a girl hiding or with somebody to not make contact somewhere to somebody. Sigh...

BBM I ddi read somewhere that the LE working on this case have worked on 6 other missing children cases and all 6 were returned home. So they truly do have the best of the best working on this case. I was so angry at the beginning when we were getting conflicting reports, but I've since realized they were working on the information they had at the time and they amended it as new information came to light. I have every confidence they will find AH and return her safely home.

These people of LE, we must remember. Some are locals, many have children of their own. They've seen a lot. I cannot imagine any of them would just toss their hands up and say "Nothing new, oh well" This surely is very very very personal to them. If there is a chance she is alive, the best thing to do is let them do their job...it is the best way to keep her safe. If not, it is still the best way for them to collect evidence to capture a perp. Goal is to find Abby and bring her home and find any perp that may be involved with her disappearance. Sometimes achieving a goal means letting people do what they are trained to do.

People can harp on this or that or wonder if they did this or that... none of it will bring her home. Calling the tipline may bring her home if you have a tip. Helping the cause of spreading the word may bring her home.

But were these children abducted? Are were they part of child custody cases, runaways? How many came home after being held by someone for 1 month (or longer)?

ETA: Does the LE mention above include the FBI or just NH LE?

I'm thinking the article in the Daily Sun was written by the Conway Police Dept. They are the true locals, taking care of business 24/7. I applaud them, am grateful for everything they do. Even though I am " from away" they make me feel safe and secure in that sweet town, I love n.Conway as much as my own ME town.

WELL that's kind of interesting. Sounds like the six were runaways since they were returned home.

Just more fuel for the fire that Abby took off on her own.

The LE working Abby's case must be specialists in kids that run away or are abducted and returned.

HUmmm.

I think its ridiculous that people keep posting that type of thing or alleged sightings on facebook. This is a CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION....... a child is missing and her family is suffering. Any and all sightings or info need to be called in directly to the fbi or via 911. I highly doubt that no law enforcement officer responded to this supposed call..... if that REALLY is the case that woman should be calling that PD directly until she is blue in the face and speaks with their chief directly
