The classmate, who did not want to be named, said Caneiro had recently sent him his resume and indicated he was willing to relocate to California for a new opportunity.

KC did not want to just retire, he wanted a new opportunity that was far away from his brother.

I want to know what the wife knows, as it was said by the media and press she left w him shortly after the fire.
I am 100% certain she heard every gripe he ever had, including how his brother had become a success and he had not.
I also want to know where they 'drove away' to.
A most heinous crime. Where are the attempted murder charges for setting his home on fire w his family inside?

Reports are that PC had only recently returned to the home to live with his wife and adult daughters. I look forward to hearing if wife is his alibi for the morning in question. There are no attempted murder charges because he safely escorted his family out of the house, and did not want to harm them. Instead, he's been charged with aggravated arson.

Thanks for posting this. It's helpful to (maybe) begin understanding the psychology involved. Not to trivialize this in any way (it is horrific and heartbreaking), but these 'family annihilators' remind me of Ancient greek tragedies or early modern revenge plays (Titus Andronicus) but without any "resolution."

Been lurking and reading up on this case since it was first reported. PC is a monster to kill all of them but especially the children. Absolutely horrific and depraved.

Pleading not guilty is standard and wise practice, since it’s up to the state to prove guilt. It also allows for a plea deal later. He can try the insanity defense, but the fact that he attempted to cover up the murders is all the evidence needed to squash that. Of course, his attorneys can drag the case out that way, insisting on psychological examinations, etc., but in the end he will either take a plea or be found guilty IMO.

He won't be able to live and go on with his life. His life is effectively over. And it will likely very literally be over when he's in jail. His life will now be one of terror and watching his back.

Pleading not guilty in an initial court appearance is part of the process. It gets the ball rolling.

Plus I think his lawyer knew he wasnt going to get out anyway. Nothing but lawyer spin pretending they had a choice imo.

The defense can try to twist and sugarcoat it all he wants but imo his own family wants nothing to do with the cold blooded murderer including viciously murdering two innocent little children.

Who in their right mind would want to sit in court like they support this ?

Imo his own family knows he did these horrific acts.

I'm curious why that is white rabbit? Just interested in your point of view. Let's say LE found a knife next to one of the children. It's confirmed to be the murder weapon and the only fingerprints on it are PC's. What would lead you to think he didn't commit the murders?
