New Timeline in Vegas Massacre Raises Questions about Mandalay Bay Response and Liability

http://pacevegas.com/2017/10/new-ti...es-questions-mandalay-bay-response-liability/

WOW, just what the Websleuthers have been saying. How timely. You guys are brilliant.

So who's in charge of investigation? Looking at MSM. it seems FBI is doing most of the investigatory work.
Metro Sheriff Lombardo is the mouthpiece for pressers.
LVMPD were the "makeshift" SWAT officers who responded. Well, actually they just happened to be officers who could
be assembled to answer the call. Not REAL SWAT officers. 2 were K-9 officers who supposedly were out training their dogs. One had cowboy boots on and couldn't run very fast so he ditched the boots in the casino and went upstairs
to confront Paddock while BAREFOOT. good Lord, this is starting to sound like Keystone Kops.

Soooo... I just did a public records search for the shooter since I had some free time. Interestingly, when searching in NV, the site I used returns a big fat 0. However, I did find an address that's been posted around before, while searching in California. So... interesting thing here... He sold this property last year. In October. For a quarter-million dollars. I won't post the actual address in the very rare chance it's not actually his, but that lines up with him needing to liquidate some funds to make some large purchases over the next year...

I’m listening to the scanner and around the 18:00 mark the 2 officers responding to floor 32 report a security guard has been shot and was found standing by the elevators and that shooter fired down the hall at the security guard. Now I’m wondering why the guard didn’t get in an elevator and go down since he was right there?

Aren't the elevators on the other end of the hall from his suite? For one, I thought PD came up the stairs and breached his barricaded stairwell door... Secondly, if I was getting shot at, I'd definitely get cover, not uh... stand directly in his line of fire at the elevators that would be straight down the hall and a dead-end... :moo:

It Los Vegas! For some reason the media seems to totally ignore the cities rich criminal history!

Its huge money organized entities tend to be attracted to huge money!!

Mandalay Bay Resorts, which he shelled out $7.9 billion for in 2004.

The city of Las Vegas covers 113 square miles–but that apparently isn’t big enough for Sheldon Adelson and Steve Wynn. The pair of casino billionaires has been feuding for nearly two decades, and time shows no sign of healing the rift.

Adelson, the world’s 12th-richest person, has complained that eruptions from the fake volcano at the Mirage hotel and casino built by Wynn are too loud. Wynn, the world’s 277th-richest person, countered by claiming Adelson isn’t building enough parking at his Las Vegas projects and the overflow snatches spaces from his own customers.

Adelson called Wynn an “egomaniac.” Wynn shot back that Adelson has an “inferiority complex.”

The world of casino billionaires is a small one. With gambling illegal in much of the world, the gaming properties of the world’s richest are often directly competing with each other.

90-year-old Kerkorian and his company MGM Mirage own more than half of the hotel rooms on the Las Vegas strip. His properties include the Mirage, which he bought from Wynn, and the Mandalay Bay Resorts

Just speculating -- but being this amazing gambler might be a cover for a whole multitude of things think of all the covers it could cover.

Safes in the garage, but it seems as if noone knew about his passion for guns and bombs?

Typically , it is just the opposite most who knew the perp -- afterwards were more than aware of the persons infatuation with guns

They talked about it all the time.

For some reason it sounds like he never made a peep about his passion for "collecting" guns.

People discuss hobbies -- how it works-- he was a braggart everything I have read indicates that handling machine guns requires a skill set

Noone has reported his bragging about how good he is at machine gun firing? Behavior wise that is not congruent with how this dude processed the world around him moo

In fact, if one thinks about it (we have not heard one gun dealer seeing him practice with guns of any kind.

There are folks here who (no judgement) describe there enjoyment with guns and collecting and stuff.

You don't keep interests a secret. Some of you know I love commercial aviation. It not a secret.

Many of us care deeply about our furry friends. We share that.

There has not been one iota of evidence that he was practicing shooting, sharing his enthusiasm for guns. None.

For a major gun enthusiast there has not been one mention of him attending gun shows.

Nor him sharing how much money he has in guns and how much they are worth. He brags about his wealth all the time.

If one has a passion collecting apples and you have many great apples would you not share that with other apple collectors?!

the only thing we all know about him and guns are:

He drove throughout 4 states to obtain them.

he has a huge safe that seems the size to accommodate machine guns.

What do small planes do? They transport things.

What is 48 feet away from the lobby -- a small airport catering to general aviation aircraft.

If someone wanted to move "things" about -- would it be easier to do it at a small airport or go through O Hare?

He likes to vacation with guns. Many guns. Not pistols . Machine guns. That are expensive. They are weapons of mass destruction. Even what little I know I think rabbit hunting with these things might be , pardon the pun overkill.

He is found dead with a bullet to his head in a room swimming with machine guns - that he has never spoken of.

That is like Jay Leno not talking about cars!!

or in his words (gambling is his job) he apparently likes to take lots of guns to the "office" with him.

Even to hotels . Do high end resorts have shooting ranges I am not aware of!

What person goes to gamble with machine guns?

How did dad make money. Illegally.

Have they cleared up someone in his room when his car was gone. Nope. That is the question from the female reporter he blew off. Staff would be able to get into a room right?

And it most certainly might fill up a lot of mysteries surrounding income stream.

but.............just a but...........................if your involvement in guns ................might result in a visit to the slammer..........................silence...........

Guys its all here in front of us.........................

just mo

CARIIS, Your posts are always fabulous, but this one is particularly amazing  Your stream-of-consciousness, matter-of-fact narratives give us reason to pause and seriously consider what you say :loveyou:

I meant that he was inside the room, looking at his peephole camera and the hall cameras not yet activated as the time of the shooting for Campo. Then, he had to hurry and begin shooting. I also think he knew he had limited time before LEO would be there. Campo shooting started that count down. Then, Campo did not leave and his escape route was cut off. He did make noise calls and probably knew how long it would take for someone to get up to the floor.

I don't know if any of it is the way it happened. But, I am just trying to figure out a new timeline that makes sense.

Join the club -- good lord --they all got themselves in a bit of jam.

But the media will go away and it will just "be" moo

all they have to do is stall ( like nothing till Friday)

media loses interest public and were on the next one ................

this is the first massacre in our history since the texas tower one where elevated height was used to rain down on people

Accidentally shut down some windows and now I have now idea the link for the above fact!! sorry

and now we have a world of copycats

bad times

My fear it will set off the next psychopath to try to out do his "score." :(

See these are the images I recall seeing -- this is right where thousands of people ran while being mowed down by machine guns and do you see any investigators ??

It looks like roads are machine gun resistant -- do you see any ripped concrete?

Just asking

I dont and have not

What would you estimate to be the value of his purchases, based upon what we know.. I know we dont know much about his purchases or his entire collection, but I actually have no clue at all what these things cost?

If he was in charge, why would he have to ask the FBI guy if it was ok to release the number of cell phones the shooter's room?

BBM

This is completely incorrect.

-I’m referring to the specific terms that are typically stated in a report/statement: “Subject was ———with a———“
Not idle talk.

-But, I did see the graphic photo of his head. The one I saw was very bloody but it was intact, not shattered or cut in half. I know nothing about guns, but did read that he used a silver black-handled revolver in his mouth.

He fired a .223 or .308 into his head, so there wasn't much of his left of his head. He was obviously very dead, so no need to take his vitals. The surgeon who was interviewed was shocked at the extreme damage these large bullets did to his patients.
https://www.pewpewtactical.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Common-Bullet-Sizes.jpg

I don't know where you got your info, but the initial reports said that he shot himself with a "black and silver revolver", which probably would use standard hand gun ammunition. I have not seen any mention of any .308 caliber weapons being used in the attack. All of the weapons shown in the available photos appear to be .223 (5.56 x 45) caliber. All the empty casings on the floor appear to be .223 (5.56 x 45) caliber. A .223 (5.56 x 45) caliber bullet is actually very small. It's almost the same diameter as a standard .22 rifle round, but it is typically longer and heavier. The reason it causes so much damage is because of the high velocity of the bullet--often over 3,000 fps at the muzzle. At that speed, the rounds would have taken less than a second to arrive and would still be moving at ~1,500 fps 400 yards away. Compare that to the velocity of a 9mm pistol round at the muzzle (~1,200 fps).
