Yes I watched that one too. Involved in the investigation will be what times the glass fell. One thing iirc from the Sheriff's last press conference was it appeared SP diverted attention from shooting into the general crowd onto intentionally firing at the groups of police officers arriving onsite. Total speculation on my part and not knowing for sure if additional glass fell or when it did but it's possible that due to the angle required to shoot at the officers, SPs gunfire broke additional glass. The shooting at the officers appears to have coincided with the later minutes of his gunfire.

The sound started getting louder – or at least it seemed that way. The shooter seemed close, we thought. The glass windows of the suite started getting shot out. I felt shards of glass falling on my back. We all did. People were crawling into the ground level suite through the blasted out windows.

Or maybe he needed to use his hammer to break more glass to get a better angle to shoot.

While Leger said it’s possible that the microscopic examination and chemical analysis of Paddock’s brain could reveal the existence of a small tumor, signs of a small stroke or evidence of some trauma from an accident capable of influencing his behavior, he noted that “millions of people have these things and don’t plan out events or things like this.”

That means that while some of Paddock’s brain tissue was available for study — probably preserved in formaldehyde before being shipped to Stanford — key parts may be gone, Leger said.

Does anyone know what time the concert was supposed to end that night?

The 3-day event was advertised to run from 2pm to midnight each day. Nothing I could find online indicated it was to wind down earlier the final night, Sunday Oct 1st. For all we know, SP may have assumed it lasted until midnight as well.

“key parts may be gone”

-That added to whatever was missing before should be an interesting study.
Thanks Kitty.

its a very interesting article... far more in depth than I had anticipated.
(I had approached it with annoyance thinking some lunatic is gonna try proving an act of extreme violence can be prevented by subjecting everyone to C/T scans and brain biopsies!!! How wrong I was thankfully!)

This was what I remembered reading. If his recollect is correct, breaking of the glass also occured after the initial gunfire.

Clint, valet at the Mandalay Bay

"Clint was working inside the hotel where Paddock was holed up on the 32nd floor.

"[The gunfire] sounded like a jackhammer," he said.

"We just heard a burst of guns, we didn't know what it was. And then we started seeing more glass coming down."

I know nothing about semi-automatic weapons outfitted with bump-stocks secured to a tripod in front of a window but I'm wondering if the setup would be as secure and steadfast as SP had planned.

https://www.reviewjournal.com/crime...er-to-protect-evidence-in-las-vegas-shooting/ Brad Brian, a Los Angeles attorney representing MGM, resisted a broad restraining order, and told the judge that FBI agents had taken over the gunman’s suite, collecting evidence including Paddock’s records with gaming companies.

The casino company later released a statement through a public relations firm.“This was a terrible tragedy perpetrated by an evil man,” the statement read. “We have no intention of renting that room. We’ve been cooperating with law enforcement from the moment this happened, which includes preserving evidence.”

The tests on the oil tanks and a comparison with his 'numbers' may cast some light on that, assuming the numbers referred to the oil tanks' location rather than the crowd..

Don't count me in with the CT people, I'm just saying what I think. Man with you Americans it's always binary - democrats or republicans, CT or MSM, you name it..

“Who has provided us a substantial amount of information is Gaming Control,” Lombardo said. “They’ve provided all the historical knowledge associated with his winnings and losses. Through that evaluation, it doesn’t appear that he had any debt.”

Also in the article:

Paddock could have also found himself on the board’s radar if he had a dispute with a casino. Any gaming patron who takes issue with the results or conduct of a game can ask the board to investigate.

If the player and the casino resolve the dispute on their own, however, the board would never hear about it. Burnett said the board had no evidence of any such dispute. (Paddock did file a nongaming lawsuit against the Cosmopolitan.)

“Somebody was floating the rumor that there was a formal patron dispute,” Burnett said.

Las Vegas police again change timeline of mass shooting

The new timeline means police no longer think there was a six-minute gap between the shooting of the guard and the barrage on the concert crowd.

Lombardo said the sequence of events has changed as more information has been obtained. "This is a very dynamic event," he said, adding that more new facts may be reported.

Paddock unleashed bullets on concertgoers for about 10 minutes. The police didn't get to Paddock's suite until 10:17 p.m. They didn't breach the room until 11:20 p.m., after a SWAT team arrived with explosive charges, Lombardo said.

It's unclear why Paddock stopped shooting into the festival crowd after 10 minutes.

"We know he attempted to shoot at fuel tanks," Lombardo said. "I would be comfortable saying, depending on the splash he made during the shooting, it would enable first responders to draw their attention to other locations, which would allow Paddock to just leave the hotel."

Authorities have received more than 1,000 tips but still have no credible information on Paddock's motive.

I know a few days ago we were talking about if MD worked at MB... I would say no based on this article JMO

The board also keeps tabs on other casino employees, such as casino cage cashiers, change personnel, dealers and some hosts and hostesses. Danley was a high-limit area hostess at the Atlantis Casino in Reno.

These employees must be registered. That involves a background check, but that check is far less onerous than what owners and key executives undergo.

“She was registered as an (employee),” Burnett said. That’s name, address and telephone number. That’s it.” Paddock was never a registered casino employee, Burnett said.

-If already discussed I can’t recall it at the moment. What did they do between 10:17 and 11:20 ??? TIA

I think they just observed all protocols for a terrorist attack.
It seemed to me that they behaved correctly.

That room could have been booby trapped, swat need to clear first.. its very specialised police work and safety is paramount.
Always specialist teams must be summoned, local LE would not have that training.

I have no clue why he stopped shooting, when he did..
