It's not bullying to point out that an assertion is false. The assertion that it would be normal for most family or significant others of mass shooters to give actual interviews in the immediate aftermath is false. It's not the norm. That was pointed out.

She then pointed out a statement made by the Texas shooter's parents as proof of an interview, which it was not. It was actually a two word statement that implied they would not be taking part in the "media circus."

And we all discussed here how odd it actually was when Paddock's brother kept giving extensive interviews, because it was not normal.

Calling something bullying does not make it so.

According to David Hickey, JC chose 5 interviews he going to do and was looking forward to them. They then had a meeting and Mr Campos "and others"....

Now, a month later, Campos is being put up at an "undisclosed location" by MGM.

I think its a bit hard to say they are tampering with a witness. They could argue they are trying to take care of an employee/contractor that was injured on the job. I don't see any thing to indicate they are preventing access to him. The law enforcement I assume has thoroughly interviewed him and know how to get in touch with him. JC is not required to talk to anyone else. For those that have already sued the MGM, they are not yet at a point in the process where the rules of civil procedure allow them to take JC's deposition. And that is the only way they can force JC to talk to them. Now, in deposition or at trial, can the opposing party bring up that MGM is taking care of JC? Sure, and it could very well be taken into account in deciding his believability. And MGM and its attorneys know that. But there is nothing illegal or improper about it.

As an employee, he probably had to submit a request for days off, which is known as scheduled leave. With this, his leave would have been pre-planned and company-approved.

That is the difference between scheduled leave and unscheduled leave. Unscheduled leave usually happens, for example, when the car battery goes dead and the person can't make it into work on time, or they've come down sick and have to call in.

-Agree, and it is concerning if JC is unaware of the dynamics. His descriptive employment type is unknown to us. Whether or not that information will be produced in under oath testimony is yet to be determined.

I've said before that my husband is a contract employee for a big company. Yes, the big company still may have to approve his leave, depending on what they have going on there. They could say that, no, it's not a good time if it's a nutty time of year for them or they have conferences or other special events set up. Although, I'm not certain is was stated that it was specifically MGM-approved leave, or just approved leave (which could mean approved by the contracting company).

It is not unknown when Campos left. He left on the 6th and returned on the 8th. From Manterro's post back in October:

Campos, who has had trouble sleeping since the shooting, left Las Vegas for Mexico on Oct. 6 to spend time with family members there and returned the evening of Oct. 8, Flansburg said. Campos returned to an MGM property when he came back and was still being housed by the company as of Thursday afternoon."
