She does use the word hearing, but she does not say she is hearing. moo

Are they gun shots? Maybe radio interference (especially the first set)? They don't sound the same as the ones we hear that are known to be the kill shots.

Also, the dispatcher doesn't say she's hearing shots. She says shots are being reported at the Bellagio.

Just my interpretation and I could be totally wrong (won't be the first or last time).

Based on the audio I heard from your homework link, those Bellagio shots were cleared. I think it was radio static or the second audio stream, but it was another false report.
 
Here is my burning question...

The official scanner audio starts getting quiet after they are in the stairwell right outside the door which is around 22:56-22:57 (p 14)

Based on the timestamp on page 15:

Approximately 2320 hours*
The Strike Team conducted an explosive breach into room 32-135 and made entry. The* Strike Team reported Paddock was down from an apparent self-inflected gunshot wound* to the head.


The above incident occurred in the long annotated version (with the annoying second audio stream) at 6:30 minutes in so that audio does begin around 23:13-23:14.

So the long silence between the 2 events of about 15 minutes.

***Where is this portion of the scanner audio? Does it exist? ***

I know y'all have probably discussed this ad naseum already, just wonder where you landed on that detail (besides PR and/or damage control).

I hadn't listened far enough to hear that the shots reported were cleared. Thank you.

So many false reports that had to be checked. moo

How would they “clear” shots fired so quick?

Think about that for a second. There are still witnesses saying there were shots fired at numerous hotels. How does LVMPD clear something when witnesses are still reporting they heard and saw shots fired?

Good question and it did occur to me when I was listening. Dispatcher indicates she is calling Bellagio. Then she says "negative" based on Bellagio security. Quick, but not impossible.

Question remains who was reporting the shots in the first place? Was it from LE or a scared civilian?

Well it’s been awhile since I listened to the recordings but as I recall at least one report was from a paramedic.

They sent response teams to each report of shots fired. Sometimes it takes a few minutes to hear back.

These are the official release (clock time 2208 through 2257).

When contacted by phone Tuesday about the newly released name, Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo said only, “If you’ve got it, publish it.” He said he could not comment on a federal case.

Don’t know and it appears they have known for awhile.

Now we are finding out the police actually ID’d a second person of interest days after the Vegas shooting transpired according to documents.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, in addition to Paddock’s girlfriend Marilou Danley, a man named Douglas Haig was ID’d as a person of interest per police documents prepared in October, just days after the massacre.

What else is Las Vegas law enforcement hiding from the American people?
 
It will be interesting to see who this guy is. But since he is being considered for Federal charges, not state, then I believe his involvement must not have been directly related to the actual shooting, but perhaps something along the line of weapons charges, perhaps providing weapons to Paddock illegally, or altering some of the weapons, or maybe something involving the explosive material found. I just think if this guy was part of the actual shooting he would be facing conspiracy to commit murder under the law of the State of Nevada.
 
I have never understood why Campos went MIA to Mexico before Ellen.
Why he was not registered in NV to be a guard?
Why ELLEN?
Why the statement of him doing no further interviews so early on? What if 20/20, or the likes wanted to interview him for a decent pay out? Is he legally bound to not participate? Or was that aspect taken care of for the long term? As in, an inside pay off and bye bye to Mexico?
No clarification on his wound type.
Why his house was guarded when he wasn’t there and why the engineers house wasn’t spoken of?
Most all of what surrounds him doesn’t add up to me.

No video has come out in the most videoed place in the USA. After boston bombing we had surveillance showing the guys going down a sidewalk...where there bags were at...etc...nothing here

These are my ongoing Not adding ups...
