Such sorrow for for Craig's mom and family...heartbreaking.

So very sad. Always start with the last people known to have seen him. Start at the last known places he visited. If the "rumor" is true from the "cousin" here:

The source of when and how Craig left is the girlfriend, who now refuses to speak to the police. She is the last person known to have seen him, and repainted her apartment shortly after his disappearance. She also will not speak with his family.

Craig is my cousin.

Could this rumor be true? Was the GF interviewed after he went missing? Did she ever cooperate? Was her apt checked? Is there enough evidence for a search warrant?

This is such a sad case! I agree, the comment from the cousin is very alarming.

What a smile this guy has. I hope that he is smiling somewhere else, perhaps misguided, and that he finds his way home soon.

Just coming across this again. This month holds the Eighth year anniversary. Im hoping this thread can be revived for the month in honor of him.
few things that bug me/ seem to be jumbled.

- Contradicting info:
First: Footprints at rivers edge (and i swear ive read it elsewhere, just not seeing it now) "Frear visited the ex-girlfriend at the Cambridge Manor apartment complex"
However CBS (which i trust more) says "had broken up with a girlfriend, he had been visiting a new girlfriend that day." To me this changes the story quite a bit. (and makes me wonder if "cousin" on footprintsis even legit...a new girlfriend would seem to have less ill motive)
(both seem to agree on physical location...just not who's residence it was, and thats where he was when his parents called.)



-He had a new girlfriend, but was still upset about the loss of his old one (ok, i can see new girlfriend getting agitated now)

- another Comment on footprints bothers me mike said...
craig was about to get into his car when he was waived down by a tall dark headed guy named steve or steven and taken into the woods, once there he was killed and disposed of he is either buried near the water tower or was weighted down in the body of water near the tower " Normally I would write this off as some troll, but then i was reading his facebook group page and a michael said "craig was seeing a girl who already had a boyfriend whose name was steve or steven tall dark haired college kid he knows what happened someone needs to find him or chat with the girl" april 17th (sidenote, his cousin who seems active in this, comments "Could she have been in on it? But why?" making me further think the "cousin" on footprints is a phoney, since FB comment was 3 years later)

Bumping for Craig. In the past few months our town
Where Craig is missing from had a private search near or behind the grocery store
Where he had worked. It was in successful however I loved seeing some local coverage
On his disappearance. I always think about him .

He went to the woods because there is a footpath leading to his house, apparently it was a commonly used shortcut.

As to why he walked instead of driving his car, I have no clue.

He was an excellent athlete, captain of his soccer team, and hoping to catch the attention of college scouts. He doesn't sound like someone who would stage his own disappearance.

you can have all of the achievements and 'things going for you' in the world and still suffer from depression...
