MT @GioBenitez #BREAKING: DA tells @ABC that police have made arrests in the case of two Amish girls who were missing for more than 24 hrs.

My lord, why? They look perfectly normal on Facebook. There has to be more to this story!

Ok, it was a white car, then red. Then we heard they were taken to a house and told not to leave, but they did. That ABC reporter said they were dropped off along the road.

Glad that the suspects are off the streets and hope that the girls get swift justice so that they can go back to their lives without any more interruption.

Could this story get any weirder? Seriously.......

Accdg to his FB page, Stephen Howell II, who lives in Hermon, NY, is in a relationship w/ Nicole Vaisey (who was also arrested). He describes himself a "prank-Ninja," and appears to have been a teacher of some sort, and more recently a senior caregiver. He has a (at least) one son of elementary school age and a daughter of middle school age. They have some land with horses and a pool, and seem to have a fairly run-of-the-mill lifestyle (until they apparently decided to kidnap 2 little Amish girls)

"The suspects are charged with first-degree kidnapping and could face of 25 years to life in prison if convicted.

No further details were available, but the DA's office said a news conference was scheduled for Saturday morning. St. Lawrence County Sheriff Kevin Wells said earlier Friday that DM and FM were in good health and were aiding the investigation."

Stephen Howells II served in the Air Force from 1995-2001.

Nicole Vaisey attended Mercyhurst College in PA from 2007-2011, where she was a Psychology major on the Dean's List. She received a grant of $1500 while a student in 2011 to do a study entitled, "THE EFFECTS OF VIEWING SEXUALLY SUGGESTIVE IMAGES ON RAPE MYTH ACCEPTANCE AND THE ROLE OF PHYSIOLOGICAL AROUSAL" -- a photo from that year of Nicole appears in this article, http://www.goerie.com/article/2010309179885

Jmo I wonder if the victims' names should be removed from this thread?

Most monsters look "normal". I could never understand why people say that. I really do understand what you're saying but that is a dangerous way for anyone to think.

Bad people don't have horns, red eyes or signs on them telling others that they're dangerous. It's a sad fact, but very true.

Good grief, wonder if they callously used the girls as some sort of social lab experiment ?
