1. It was found after the police did their search, after GR allegedly waited 5 weeks to go into their master bedroom. This was the time her wedding ring was also found on her dresser, if I remember correctly. I believe it was also the time he found a prepaid VISA receipt and an envelope, as someone else mentioned. So for 5 weeks, he saw no need to go into his own closet to say, oh, i don't know, get himself some changes of clothing? Or, if they had separate closets, he did make sure to say that clothes were missing, as well as pills, which I'm assuming were also kept in the master bathroom. Speaking of bathrooms ~ who remembers the discussion about which bathroom she cut and colored her hair in? He found evidence of that. He insisted the police come right away, take the wrapped (or ribbon-tied, I can't recall), so that LE could catalog it as evidence. I think he was setting her up by producing the receipt of the prepaid card that he probably bought himself after police searched. I don't think police missed anything in the house, IMO.

2. As someone else mentioned upthread, I don't get why she would buy lingerie if she was losing weight so quickly. She was on a tight allowance budget, so why waste the money when she was in the process of working out and losing weight? I can see her buying lingerie for herself (let's face it ladies, it does make many of us feel pretty and girly, right?), but since she knew her marriage was on the rocks, and had made an appointment with a divorce attorney, why bother at that point? Seems like she was taking the first steps toward moving on.

3. I don't believe she bought it either, and the theory of her buying it for someone over the pond makes no sense. Most women receive lingerie from men, not gift it to men as gifts, right? And this guy was a gaming friend - surely she never planned on actually meeting him. Her priorities were her kids, and it seems to me that online gaming was just a distraction to pass the time (remember, she had quit or was forced to quit her job).

4. ES, IMO isn't credible at all. I wouldn't believe a word she says.

So, it looks like we are being asked to accept the police search missed a wedding ring, pre-paid visa receipt, maybe a box of lingerie, new and 'hidden' somewhere, and cuttings of Jennifer's own hair?

Didn't the police search go on for 48 hours or something? And GR was already certain there was 'nothing there'?

Yes, 4 days of searching -- command center set up there.

I came across this old post regarding the pre-paid visa receipt: "Anyone could register the card under anyone elses name as long as you had a valid SSN for them."

I wonder if the lingerie could somehow be connected with the $300 dollars Jennifer was supposed to have spent on clothes? I always found that comment by GR really hinky and entirely inappropriate, given that he was talking about his missing wife.

I see your answer Abigail.

Is it possible we are looking for a pre-paid card, loaded with $300 dollars, then used to purchase lingerie, online?

If so, I would really want to know who computer records showed was using the computer immediately before and after 'Jennifer' made her purchases. And how long the gap was between the different users.

I saw a post by Jennifer that GR had given away her computer to a friend, without her permission, about a year before her death. Did that mean she and GR shared one, I wonder?

Just went back to find something, and noticed on page 30 that several of Solus' postings that were deleted (before he was verified) are back up now.

I'd hope that computer can be recovered.
1) It may have little poems or pictures by Jennifer family would like.
2) It may contain info deleted by GR, that could be retrieved.

That explains it! I thought I was going mad.

They must have had separate computers, because they were communicating via Face Page in November when GR was staying at Solus' house, and GR had his laptop with him. Or, can you do Face Page with a phone?

The $300 in new clothes could have been made online or more likely going shopping. Remember, Jennifer had that shopping excursion with ES the week before she died, and that's when GR said she spent $300 on clothing just for herself. Quite frankly, I don't find anything notable in that -- her parents could have sent her money (prepaid card or a gift card for her favorite store) for Christmas -- to spend just on herself. My mother-in-law does that for me, for Christmas and birthday. And, if Jennifer had just lost quite a bit of weight, it would be perfectly reasonable to buy several new outfits so she'd have clothes that fit to wear to Christmas programs and parties.

Reading through the old threads, it appears that GR kept Jennifer on a tight allowance, and that the $500 that she had for shopping (for her daughter's dress and GR's Christmas present) on the day she died was money that she had saved (through prudent spending) out of the money that was budgeted for food and household expenses throughout the year.

I wouldn't have thought a laptop would have been enough for a project manager working from home, you know. It depends what projects he managed, of course, but I would have thought GR would have needed a fixed computer at home, with a big capacity.

It is likely he and Jennifer had their own though - it would have been difficult to share a work computer.

ETA: You can Skype and (Ithink) Facetime on an iphone, if you install the app.

FaceTime is through an iPad, iPod touch, and iPhone you just have to have it turned on. Skype is through all of those (with the app) and a computer. HTH!

I'm reading everything and haven't had a chance to comment. Most of what I have to say might get me a time out. Having read everything I possibly could since she went "missing" IMO I don't believe ES at all and I don't believe Jen was ever having an affair. I remember discussing the lingerie at length back then (though I'm sure my posts got snipped or deleted I probably wasn't holding back too well LOL) and it makes me angry again today! And mostly sad and confused for her kids and family about why this happened :(

Edited to say: Facebook was huge back then..soo many people connected to this case just couldn't keep their mouths shut. I know more about these people than I ever needed or wanted to know. My opinions are based on some of that too which I can't link, but I spent sooo many sleepless nights piecing together stuff. It makes me so very angry when I think about her so called "friends". I'm sure many of you remember those nights back then because sometimes I couldn't keep it to myself.

Wait what!?!? ES has said that Jen was having an affair with a verified insider here at WS. Umm no she is wrong. Maybe she wasn't outright lying and for whatever reason has been led by someone to believe this to be true, but no just no.

Just to be clear, there is no proof whatsoever that Jennifer ever had an affair. We've allowed a little leeway in what GR may have "thought" about this subject, but that's as far as we're letting it go.

Posts that state this possibility as a foregone conclusion will be removed. It should only be discussed in relation to what GR may have "suspected" or what he tried to implicate to the media.

Jennifer is the victim here and nothing, absolutely nothing, would warrant her murder.

Hi YPG:

All I have to say is I would love to see any proof associated with that outrageous accusation!

Thank you Sue...
I don't believe a word of it. And I totally agree that nothing could ever justify the taking of Jen's life.

Could we be missing a big something? If GR was being truthful to friends, at the beginning of November, he had a plan to wait until after Christmas, take custody of his kids and house, and divorce Jennifer.

But by December 11, Jennifer was dead. Does that mark that date where Jennifer had learned what her rights might be, or been given advice about what she should NOT do/sign until she'd had a chance to meet her lawyer?

Or could there be another reason why GR's plans had fallen apart? Could he have suddenly needed Jennifer gone from the home in a hurry, because his girlfriend needed to move in? Or could GR have been afraid he was losing his girlfriend?

I can't think of other reasons, but I have a feeling there may be something significant that took place in that month or space of time.

I missed most of the FB postings.

But in the past couple days, I've been going back and reading a lot of the postings here at WS that were made in January and February, and from what was said there, through paraphrasing and such, I got a sort of general idea of how the JRM medium was being used by several women close to GR to spread a lot of false rumors about Jennifer. Apparently GR was feeding this stuff to them, and then they'd post it. I got the idea that it was pretty much the same sort of stuff that Solus has mentioned that GR told him. Perhaps a couple of the women were naive enough to believe what GR told them and pass it along. IMO, at least one was involved in creating the deception, at least part of it, and was happy enough to play along with GR's charade, if only to deflect attention from her own bad behavior.

GR's well-orchestrated rumor mill seemed to have a lot of folks in town (who were even aware that Jennifer was missing to begin with) convinced she must have run off. That's the impression I got from reading comments under news articles written in December and January.

Unfortunately for GR, there were several pesky problems: 1) small town people tend to notice things -- such as who was really having an affair; 2) Websleuths and the other FB page combined a large team of locals with experienced "sleuthers" that kept just pecking away at the rumors, dismembering them, one by one. The truth always comes out.

So...what we have here is GR (during the time he was out on bail) trying to resurrect those old rumors, trying to rally old friends back to his side. And I have no doubt he will try to do so again during the trial.

"It wasn't me! It was that English gamer bloke who likes to wear ladies underthings!!"

I think his attorneys will find most of the rumors and planted "evidence" too clumsy to be at all convincing.

Between Dec 2nd and Dec 5th, GR and ES had separated. ES moved back with her husband. <Mod Snip>

GR had also told me that Jen had received a sum of money from the previously mentioned person from England. Per GR the money was to help her with moving out.
