Not if he was close to them. It was mentioned earlier that he may have been dating then over and over to gain their trust. He could have conceivably been using their real names by the 4th or 5th "date". All of my "regulars" knew my real name.. a couple, even my last name.

To address another misconception I've read in.. most escorts don't get all jacked up on drugs that make them hallucinate before they head out on a call- guys kinda want to pay for sex with a girl who's actually on the same planet as them. kwim?

I suppose that is reasonable..... It would explain some of the circumstances surrounding some of the things we've read about the disappearances. What is KWIM? I'm new to the blog thing. lool

know what I mean.

While trying to find a Massapequa connection (with respect to my loop), I stumbled upon indepth information about wildlife removal. Burlap bags are commonly used in this field. Someone who worked in the field would definitely have these bags on hand.

I mention it only in passing. You never know.

Thank you very much for posting that...if it was indeed her mother, it would certainly go along with I thought I read earlier somewhere, that the 911 tape named who was after her, and both the poilice and the family know the name

I read the same thing.....that Shannan named who was after her on the 911 call.

Can locals give me a rough idea of travel times (not miles, times) to and from the following locations:

1. NY Port Authority Bus Terminal to Oak Beach
2. Massapequa to Oak Beach
3. Massapequa to NY Port Authority Bus Terminal
4. Happauge to Oak Beach
5. Higbie Rd. Islip, to Oak Beach

Times will vary considerably due to traffic conditions that depend upon time of day, day of the week, weather conditions and construction projects. Also, when something "big" is going on in the city (like the president visiting the U.N. or a parade) or if it's the Summertime and it's a good beach weather day, you can add up to another hour to these times;

1. NY Port Authority Bus Terminal to Oak Beach
ranges from 1.5 hours to 2.5 hours average. However, very few people really ever drive. A better route is taking a cab, bus or subway to Penn Station and then the LIRR. Still 1.5 hours but more reliable.

2. Massapequa to Oak Beach
35 - 45 minutes.
3. Massapequa to NY Port Authority Bus Terminal
1 to 2.5 hours.
4. Happauge to Oak Beach
about 35 minutes.
5. Higbie Rd. Islip, to Oak Beach
about 15 to 20 minutes.

Also, keep in mind that if it's the middle of the night or early in the morning, you can speed and probably not get caught. This reminded me about something VERY IMPORTANT about location of where to the SK dumps his bodies that I will post next...

Long Island Serial Killer: Beach Bodies
By Jaclyn Gallucci on April 14th, 2011

Atlantic City police say all four were believed to be strangled, but two of the bodies were too decomposed to officially say so. All four had their heads turned toward the east. According to locals this stretch of empty land along Black Horse Pike is a place known for crack and prostitution, where each vice often feeds the other.

[...]

Neither Suffolk nor Nassau police will go on record with any specific details on the crime scene, but sources who say they are close to the investigation have come forward claiming the eight bodies found in Suffolk County were also facing in the same direction. Reports have surfaced that the first four dead women to be found at Gilgo were strangled too, that these clusters of four bodies found along the water don’t appear to be a coincidence. Both sets of bodies were placed at methodical intervals apart. But again, none of this information has been confirmed publicly by the police.

The Number of Unsolved Murders in New York City
January 16th, 2007

There are now 9,082 unsolved murders in New York City going back to 1985. That figure is a moving target of course. They are adding to that number all the time. Roughly 150 – 200 or more murders go cold every year, and try as they might, they are not going back and solving that many each year (of the older, cold cases).

That picture was take at one of the Property Clerk warehouses. Those barrels contain homicide evidence.

So where do the original word for word statements come from? The Guy Dormer{sp}. who's heading the task force?

I thought Dormer, the Irishman, was the Chief of Police for Suffolk County. He might have another title but he's the one in charge. I have wondered who is the lead in the investigation for the LI SK murder task force. Those that hold these positions are usually very well heeled in their profession and become recognized for their work.

That's weird I was looking at something like this the other day the Number from 1980- 2008 was 16000 and that was partial, I'm going get the link

I do agree that this guy might be grooming these girls. I think he likes them young...I think he likes the shock factor...I think he gets them comfortable with handcuffs etc...

maybe I'm wrong and a 23 year old working girl has done all of it....but I think pulling a working girl into allowing herself to be restrained is another level.

I dont know, I am trying to imagine this guy, and I can imagine a guy who could be just the ideal guy, except this one little secret problem...I don't think anyone is scared of him...like pimps etc... I think he is under the radar...girls don't dissapear under the noses of their pimps...they are an investment...

I think somehow he is with these girls on the downlow...thats why I thought he might be a dealer...but he could be that guy that they might even want to kind of date....if they ever dated...like maybe he just always has blow...always will come pick u up...pays extra...

thats why i don't think he's like dissolving bodies...I think he's spending a few hours with his victim...tops...then dumping them and going home with their clothing...

I don't know...this guy seems like a catch. thats what I think.

It just occurred to me why the SK chose the North side of Ocean Parkway (Westbound) near Cedar Beach to dump the bodies. When I was a teenager, Ocean Parkway was the place to go if you wanted to speed and not usually get caught.

It is a perfect straightaway.

In Suffolk county, the speed limit is 55 mph while in Nassau County, the speed limit is only 40 mph. It is my thinking that the SK chose the location near Cedar Beach because there was less of a chance of getting caught here by LE. Ocean Parkway is a State highway. The NYS Troopers are responsible for patrolling the roads. On occasion, the NYS Parks Police will also lend a hand.

At the very East end of this barrier island is Captree State park as well as the ramp to the bridge that leads to Robert Moses State park less than a mile south.

At the far West end of Ocean Parkway lies Jones Beach State Park.

Cedar/Gilgo, like Oak beach are Town of Babylon beaches. They are situated almost halfway between the State Parks.

Do you get where I'm going with this?

State Troopers and State Park Police would tend to gravitate towards the State Parks where they would have access to facilities (rest rooms, snack bars, etc...). The millions of visitors to these parks creates a ton of work for them to do too (car accidents, vandalism, fights, etc...). The section of Ocean Parkway chosen by the SK.... well there isn't much there. The nearest facilities are the Cedar Beach Marina (town permit required) as well as the actual town beaches themselves (town permits also required).

Also, I think the SK was backing his vehicle up behind an outgrowth of brush high enough that a driver speeding by in a car probably wouldn't notice. The spots he picked were far enough away from the entrance ramp to the highway that by that point in the road, most people would indeed be moving pretty fast. (See this- http://www.newsday.com/long-island/nassau/state-police-ticket-138-drivers-on-ocean-parkway-1.1372992)

This is why I am totally convinced that the much older remains found in Nassau of the man and the child ARE NOT the work of this SK. They were both found in an extremely busy section of Ocean Parkway where the speed limit is slower and the police presence is tremendous.

Mountain Kat,

Here are my best estimates:

1. NY Port Authority Bus Terminal to Oak Beach
1 Hour 15 Minutes

2. Massapequa to Oak Beach
25 Minutes

3. Massapequa to NY Port Authority Bus Terminal
1 Hour

4. Happauge to Oak Beach
25 Minutes

5. Higbie Rd. Islip, to Oak Beach
8-10 Minutes

My first choice would be to call NY State LE PR see what they say, see what run around you get. It has to be somewhere. Where are all the Super Sleuths?

My first Sports Car I took out on OP the Road wasn't smooth, well I got up to 135 MPH with the Windows up and the T top off very scary. you are so right. It was Oct/Nov I think. No LE around no one around.
