When MP came to get SG from JB's house that evening, why did she refuse to leave with MP? In fact, SG refused, saying 'you guys are trying to kill me'. Which makes no sense to me...Why didn't SG use the more logical phrase 'those guys' when she addressed MP? It's public knowledge through MG that SG named her attacker in her 911 call, although the name was not made public. The only information made public was the name was not JB. Could the name be MP?

When SG bolted and ran from JB's, why didn't she run straight for the car? Obviously, that would have been the fastest way out if she feared for her life. In the same way, why didn't SG stay at GC's house that night? Most people assume she ran for fear of being arrested when GC mentioned calling the police. It seems to me being alive in jail is preferred over running outside and risk getting captured by her attacker/s.

As SG ran terrified through the OB neighborhood, taking into consideration what the Commish said: SG was likely trying to make it to Ocean Parkway because she could see lights in that direction, why did SG run right past the lighted entrance/exit, which would have been the closest and fastest way to the parkway?

Why did SG keep running toward and into the dark desolate area where she was ultimately found?

I have thought about this a lot. When I try to organize my thoughts, I keep coming up with these questions:

1. What did Shannon see or experience that caused her to think someone was trying to kill her?

2. If what she saw/experienced was in JB's house, why didn't she just bolt out the door? Why did she refuse to leave?

3. Why did she run to GC's house and then run after she thought he was calling LE?

It is really hard to come up with any answer that seems to answer those questions. I wish we knew where JB and SG went for the little trip they took in Oak Beach that night. Did something frighten SG about that trip? Her running when GC called LE seems to indicate she did not trust LE. Was there another girl inside JB's house that she witnessed something happening to, and that is why she did not want to leave..... she did not want to leave the other girl in danger? So many questions.... I wish we could hear the actual 911 call. I don't understand why they won't release that... especially since her body has been found.

Pickle, did any of the neighbors notice/see a ME van or vans and whether one or more bodies were removed from the home? This is SO very curious.

Any word on what tipped off the investigation and LE coming to that house to discover the dead wife in the basement?

Both very good questions. I'll ask about the ME van but I think Suffolk County used unmarked vans for ME. I'll double check.

No word on why they came to the house either. I would assume if someone has been deceased for weeks, one wouldn't just wake up and decide...'Ok, today's the day I'll call. She hasn't moved in weeks.'

On a lighter note, I've had about 5 people from the area mention the same POI....Quite strange. This person used to live in Gilgo Beach and moved about 1 1/2 years ago. This name keeps coming up whenever I talk about this case.

Well it would certainly go along with the stereotype of a SK inserting himself into the investigation and possibly being his own worst enemy.

I've posted there many a time (as Matt G, if anyone was wondering or cares). I'm pretty everything I've posted has made it to the site.

I hope I didn't insult you or anyone else here at WS (who also post at the lisk site) when I was making my broad sweeping generalizations regarding the quality of banter at that other site.

If I did, I apologize!

Is there an official POI now?

No that I know of. I was just stating that a few people I know have mentioned the same name to me. Nothing official and this is not from LE.

I am not familiar with this web site that much. So I am asking if there are honest true psychics that are on here and/or have lent there ear to these threads?

I personally don't believe that there are any honest and true psychics in existence. Most of them thrive off of other's misfortunes, and even if they are honest people they still aren't really psychic.

I am some what on the fence myself, I do believe but some ppl I just dont believe.

True, the way I look at it the CIA or FBI spent years and lots of money developing programs like remote viewing and police type psychics and nothing ever came of it. Not only that, but I just don't see that type of stuff as obeying any laws of physics and police refuse to use them cause they don't really yield anything.

I occasionally have dreams that are very specific and have a lot in common with events that end up taking place a few days later. Many very weird coincidences that make me wonder. That said, I've never once awoken from one of my dreams and been able to know exactly what was going to happen and when.

I wonder if there's ever been a publicized case where a psychic has been like "Yep, it was the butler in the parlor with the candlestick!" and it turned out it was 100% on the money.

Not at all. I know exactly what you're talking about. I started out posting there and now rarely go there because people are really nasty to each other and/or totally insane. I must say, Fluke You intrigues me. There might be something to be learned from him, but not by listening to what he's saying.

I came here because even when people disagree, they're not contentious and there's moderation for when people step over the line, which I think I inadvertently did once or twice.

Was Shannan Gilbert's privacy invaded in some way while she was at JB's?
Did she check her email(s) or social networking account(s) while there? Did she receive any texts and/or phone calls? Did she receive any pics or videos through email, social networking sites or her mobile phone?

Did the perp hack/crack into any electronic device(s) Ms. Gilbert might have been carrying to glean information that would have not only served to frighten her, but to also project an air of omnipotence and omniscience on the part of the perp's? If so, might it have increased Ms. Gilbert's fear and enhanced the perp's version of pleasure?

My husband used to have dreams like that. We are all part of nature and believe nature is tied in some way so I do believe in strange happenings but, like you said, I don't think anyone can actually know that something is going to happen and be conscious of that knowledge.

Do you think she pegged him and it scared the heck out of her?

I don't know, Pickle. The holidays are always a tricky and busy time. Maybe he wanted to get some holiday shopping done before he was thoroughly investigated.

Do you think she pegged him and it scared the heck out of her?

That could very well be it.

I just don't understand why she may have refused to leave JB's house and then head straight for GC's house? She wanted to be inside instead of outside? Inside was safer than outside?

Clarification: I am of the opinion that Shannan Gilbert selected GC's house to seek refuge in because his house appeared to be the only one astir at that hour of the morning. IMO, she would of run to any house that showed signs of activity.

Had Shannan Gilbert ever faced danger in her line of work before the night at JB's?

Her running when GC called LE seems to indicate she did not trust LE..

Could it also indicate the possibility that SG didn't trust GC? Even if SG feared being arrested, that is certainly a better option than facing death.

Maybe SG had seen GC at JB's party, and she knew GC wasn't going to help her?

It's also quite strange that JB said SG ran toward GC's house. Especially in light of GC's own comment that he didn't know JB. It's also quite strange that GC and MP both speculated that SG went into the water and drowned, which not long afterward became the main theory the SCPD believed took place.

Could the presence of a large body of water have inspired a possible drowning theory?
