The police, as I recall, said the knife was from the kitchen. If he was inside the house before she returned, he was already prepared for violence before they went to the basement.

The police at the press conference specifically stated that she returned home at about 12:20. He arrived at the house at 12:30-12:40. He had access to a key that was in the backyard barbecue.

The argument may have started upstairs and he took the knife. She was killed in the basement with a knife from her kitchen.

Looks like he tried to say something at the end.

He yelled "f*ck you, motherf*cker" to a reporter as he was being placed in the back of an unmarked police car. Yikes.

David Bonola charged w the murder of a Queens mom, Police: he was the handyman, having an affair with the victim, got into a heated argument early Saturday morning in her home, stabbed her 55 times then placed her in a duffle bag and dumped her body @ABC7NYNewsDesk@ABC7NY

On his FB he follows A LOT of women’s pages that seem to be involved in the arts.
Sounds like he had an active fantasy life and was a creeper.

The fallout from his actions seems to have ricocheted across a lot of people--several folks must be questioning their perspective of him before he went off the deep end. OG's outrageous murder will probably change how people view potential hiring of help, causal friendships, love affairs and the like.

Showing his temper again.

I have a feeling DB blocked the main floor door. She ran for the basement to escape through that access/exit point. He caught up with her and was probably incensed that she ran.

At that point the frenzied attack ensued. Blood on the main floor was probably from him walking around after. He must have been covered in her blood. Sorry to be graphic but I think that may have been how we have blood on the main floor but much more in the basement.

Why do some feel the need to believe that this was “all in his head”?

LE has made it clear that there was an intimate relationship between the two. What exactly that means is unclear at this time but regardless she was a willing participant in the intimate relationship.

Yep.

This is from the Daily Mail article:

On Wednesday night, as police officers were canvassing the area in Queens, they spotted Bonola and approached him. They knew about the affair and wanted to question him so brought him in for questioning at the 112th Precinct, where he confessed to the entire murder.

So according to this, LE knew about their affair BEFORE speaking with Bonola, and he confirmed what they had already believed/knew about the pair's relationship.

Now, these are the reporter's words, and not a direct quote from LE. But if the reporter is accurately describing info received from LE, and LE apparently had some reason to believe the two had an affair. And frankly, it fits with the incomplete picture that we do have:
  • Bonola is commenting about her beauty, etc. on her Facebook posts in May 2020 and she's liking the comments with hearts.
  • May 2020 is also when her husband reported her reported missing, reportedly because she wasn't home as of 7am after purportedly going out for a midnight walk.
  • She has a couple Facebook posts that same month about walking day and night--maybe to help buttress the night walking excuse?
  • Then later that same month, she posts pictures of her wedding that she says she hadn't seen in 10 years--maybe feeling guilty?
  • And then we have the night of the murder. There was no sign of break-in and her son apparently didn't hear anything and wasn't aware that anything had happened, and the murder weapon is reportedly a kitchen knife from her home (as opposed to something he brought with her to, for example, threaten her to open the door and let her in). This is consistent her allowing him in and then retreating to the basement so that her son wouldn't hear/discover them.
I also agree that I don't think LE would be saying anything about the pair having some sort of romantic relationship if they only had his word and not evidence.

EDIT -
Quick edit to add the below note because it appears from some posts on this thread, it may be necessary to get out of front erroneous accusations of victim blaming, etc.

WHATEVER THE NATURE OF THE RELATIONSHIP, MS. GAAL IN NO WAY WHATSOEVER DESERVED TO BE BUTCHERED TO DEATH.

So says the crazy sloppy irrational murderer.

Some, if not all of the information police have at this time is coming from the man they arrested today. They rightfully have to take his version of the truth in consideration, but some of us might naturaly consider the source- a man who is on video committing an horriffic crime.

Much of what has been reported has been salacious speculation based upon the police understandaby needing to question men whose number was in her phone. It is quite common for people to have many numbers in their phone that have nothing to do with promiscuous behavior.

Finally, women who are murdered by men with a sexual motive are routinely dagged through the mud in an effort to convince a jury that she was a willing participant in whatever physical contact preceded the murder. It's how they attempt obfuscate incriminating DNA evidence.

There may or may not have been some level of inappropriate relationship prior to the murder, but the suggestion that Orsolya, whose voice has been silenced, was habitually promiscuous seems to be the most prominate feature of the current narrative, as if it is an undeniable fact. MOO

The direct quote from the chief at the press conference: "Last night, while detectives were canvassing for video, they observed a male who was wanted for questioning... he voluntarily came back to the precinct to answer questions, where he made incriminating statements."

Danny Pelosi, Convicted Hamptons Murderer, Claims Wife Wanted 'Revenge' on Multimillionaire Husband

Does anyone remember this case? The rich husband, Ted Ammon, was murdered. Meanwhile his wife Generosa was having an affair with her electrician. After the husband’s murder she married him, Daniel Pelosi, then she died and he got all the first husband's money. And he was convicted of the murder.

My point on topic is that those who simply can't believe a beautiful, married, well-to-do woman would never "lower herself" to have an affair with someone of "a different class" have no idea.

I live in a middle-class co-op building in NYC. Seven buildings in my complex, 23 stories each. There are many, many handymen, security guards and other workers here, and I know several women, married or divorced, who had intimate relations with them. Not excusing or accusing, just stating facts.

Whatever the case, whatever the cause, this was an undeserved tragedy.

Thanks for posting that. While admittedly this may be too much to expect given the state of the media :( -- one would think (hope?) the reporter also spoke to an LE source outside of the press-conference before reporting that LE knew about their relationship beforehand.
