Local tweeter said there is a remote cabin between Trudeau and Cringle that she found while hiking. I hope she called that info into LE.

For now, many locals said they are adapting to the immediate threat. They are locking their doors and windows, while some, like Mr. Snyder, have been getting their guns ready.

Some showed signs of a mood shift on Thursday as police scoured an approximately 5-mile swath of a heavily wooded area between the prison and Plattsburgh, N.Y.

Christina Stetz, 47, of Saranac, N.Y., joked earlier in the week that she enjoyed the omnipresent checkpoints so she could see men in uniform.

But by Thursday, she said she found it jarring to see her boyfriend checking that a shotgun was loaded.

Way out there theory, but husband had to know when her schedule/the inmate's (Sweat?) schedule was altered on the unit that something hinky was going on. I wonder if he helped if only to get those two out of there to preserve his marriage and their jobs?
