Scioto's current is fairly strong this time of year. The current location would not indicate an entry point into the river.

I agree with you, but after thinking about it there are several "dams" or what look like a small waterfall going down that river, which produce a horrible rip tide/whirlpool.

Hopefully this works. From the Union Cafe to the place where the body was found is an 11 minute drive by car. 7.5 miles

How far away from the bar is where that muscle conference is held? Would going back to the conferance take one on roads near this river?? Where a body was found?

The convention center where the Arnold is held is just a few blocks down High Street from Union. AFAIK getting to the Scioto would have been a pretty major detour.

OK that is helpful. Went to get drink. Liked someone for sex. Gets in his car. Maybe they go to park. And someone in the park hurts him .

And that muscle man thing just seems like this could be homphobic related. Only mo.

Or, a lot of married men have to go to a setting like that. Obviouly they cant bring someone back to their house. Just speculating here.
Where is the park in relation to the muscle people --have to consider homophobia. If the park is known to be cruise area , homophobic people could be hanging out there late .

Or a cruise park would proably be ideal to steal people, late at night , dark, the liklihhod of someone reporting seeing something might be diminished just casue of the activities in the park.

At least it is a five star cruising area.

The park gets high marks from several resources that list/describe/rate the cruise areas all over the world. There are "guides" that weigh 18 lbs!!!

With invaluable data! Types of cruisers, police involvemnet, busiest and best times, days of the week, safety of area etc etc!!

One must do thier "research"!

Cant link to some of them - lets say they have more than maps on them!!!!!

Very necessary in speculating why he may turn up in that area. The whole point of Websleuthing is talking about what may have happened to missing persons, it's all speculation. And if in fact he was using multiple "cruising" apps, this may have been where the cruising meet-ups happen.

This map the center is Lower Scioto Park. It's in the Brewery District downtown Columbus. The photo shown in the news report where it appears they have backed a vehicle up next to a "Danger Dam" sign is in the bottom right hand corner. So if they did transport a body back up River to this location, then they couldn't have found him further down stream near the impound lot because they would have had to get around the dam somehow. So IF it is him, he could have been at any one of the bars in the Brewery District and came down to the park and "fallen" (by any means), into the river.

I'm gay and have never heard of Berliner Park having a reputation of being a "cruising" park.... But regardless if that's true or not, why is it relevant or necessary to post?
